Does anyone know if there is a trust set up for this child?

If not, does anyone know how I can set a special needs trust up? I want it legal and be overseen by an attorney, so his 🤬🤬🤬 mother or father never sees a penny!

I have actually had nightmares about this case and can't get it out of my head!

ICAM!! When people demonstrate the desire, determination & motivation I'm with them 100%!! It's the woe is me, a zillion excuses why whatever drug made them do something, or why they can't quit stuff that I can't get behind.

With this man, if it really was the drugs, I don't see how he'll be able to live with what he did...

I have had nightmares about this case also, and it is very hard to get this out of my head as well. This is one of the most awful things I have ever read. The little was beautiful. How could the mom just turn her back and leave him screaming. The parents are scum.

Linda, I don't know a thing about trusts or setting them up. Just looking at the family and some of its history, I doubt there is a trust for this child. A wills & estate attorney would probably be the person to ask.

I spoke with one very briefly yesterday from the yellow pages:rolleyes:. He seemed rather uninterested and said it would cost a few thousand to even set it up. I didn't care for him.....Tuesday, I will be making a few more calls.

There is already one being set up...I found it on the first news link on this thread. I have to investigate it a bit then I will post it here for anyone whose interested.

So, the mother delivered pizza to the apartment right before this happened, and she heard this little boy screaming that he was scared and wanted to go with her, but "she felt he was safe and left"? WTF???? Where is that icon for banging your head into the wall?? :banghead: Geesh!!! I am having a hard time figuring out who I am the most angry with!!! How could she??? If I had been a complete stranger and had delivered pizza to that slice of Hell, I would have ran out of there with that child, or barracaded myself inside and refused to leave him alone!!!

I don't care if this person was on drugs or temporarily insane, or whatever mental illness he might suffer from. I usually try to understand why criminals do what they do but in this case I don't want to. This is beyond sick!
Even a death sentence would be too kind:furious::furious:

BAKERSFIELD -- A father accused of biting out one of his son's eyes and damaging the other beyond repair has been ordered to stand trial.

34 year old Angelo "Angel" Mendoza made his first appearance Friday in Kern County Superior Court, and waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Mendoza is charged with mayhem, torture and child cruelty in the April 28 attack on his son Angelo Mendoza Jr.

The boy's left eye was bitten out and his right eye damaged and blinded. Police reports say Mendoza then hacked his own legs with an ax.

A family friend says Mendoza had stopped taking his medication and was hearing voices in the month before the incident, according to a family friend.

Police say Mendoza appeared to be under the influence of PCP when he attacked the 4-year-old boy April 28.

But his friend, Artie Gray told the Bakersfield Californian Friday that Mendoza was adamant about not taking any illegal drugs for the past two years.

Dad had supposedly stopped taking his marijuana rx- First time Ive ever heard over POT making you eat your babie's eye out!! Both mom and dad are PCP heads, and unfit to have such a beautiful young boy in their home- I hope they suffer the pain this poor boy will for the rest of his life. I am SOO glad he survived, but imagine remembering how and who did this to you- Angelo Mendoza Jr will be FOREVER be in my heart- This case will haunt me!!!!

Angelo Mendoza Jr., the 4-year-old whose eyes were allegedly maimed by his father, has regained partial eyesight, a source familiar with his condition said Thursday. The boy can see out of his damaged but intact right eye and his vision is expected to improve, the source said.

He is getting regular care from an ophthalmologist and his eye is healing, the source said.

This sweet little angel. I hope he's in good hands now and those caring for him will make sure ALL of his injuries heal. How could he have been left in such a horrible environment? :furious:

That makes me happy that he will have at least some sight. We can all know that the last thing he'll ever see will NOT be his father attacking him. I hope he ends up with a wonderful family.

Oh, Thank God for a little good news. It's going to be a long road for that dear baby.
I am just crying here, I just don't have it in me to understand the vile, disgusting things some people do.
I have to leave this thread now.
