I went fishing at Cachuma 3 weeks ago and asked 2 rangers if there was any news about the little boy who had been searched for. Surprisingly, they knew nothing about it. They hadn't heard about the case!!!!

What? I find that hard to believe. I bet they were just playing dumb. Haha

Do you know where I'm talking about where that road goes down the hill and you can drive a little ways back along the lake? You turn right after the gate, go past the playground then take the road down the hill. That would be the first place I searched. I sure hope they searched there.

Paradise road was closed at the first water crossing until Memorial Weekend I believe. I think it all depends on how well he knows the area. But it gets more remote the further you go back and he couldn't get that far then. I'm wondering whats leading them to Nojoqui. Had to have been a tip or something. I have always felt like the lady that said the boy was with him at Cachuma was credible. I hope they searched down that road that goes down the hill and away from the campgrounds at Cachuma. There's usually nobody down there.

I wonder if cellular forensics from that day led them there.

He could be in the lake and weighted down like what killers did to little Bella Bond threw her in a lake in a gym bag with weights.

Yes, I know right where you mean. I think they searched all the accessible roads and more. I forgot Paradise Rd was closed. I wonder if he went up Happy Canyon. Maybe there was evidence that he had been in water or mud. There is a lot of water up Happy Canyon and it's quiet up there.

I wish they had more search dogs and volunteers. There are only 150 people searching 20 miles for 6 hours so I'm guessing the search is about over. I hope they can at least find something to throw the father in jail for.

The area is huge, riddled with deep canyons that aren't easily accessible.
They aren't just searching 20 miles, they said they are searching a 20 mile radius.

If AA Jr was truly at Cachuma with his dad then Armor Ranch Rd would be the next exit going towards Solvang that would take him to a remote location. And that would take him up Happy Canyon with many places to pull off undetected.

Or what Scott Peterson did to his pregnant wife.

Yes, but there aren't that many roads that a BMW could navigate. Most of the roads become dirt and are fine for 4WD.

They searched the rest stops along the 154. Apparently they found a clue and are going to come back to continue searching as they're done for the day. By rest stop I mean areas with space along the road a car can pull aside.

I wonder what the Solvang/Nojoqui Falls evidence is?

  • #313
No they truly didn't know!
I'm shocked there are no flyers up throughout the lake campsite. Also the other areas they're searching. I'm not surprised they don't know otherwise b c I see little of it reported outside Los Angeles just like I don't know about missing people in other towns.

The stories quote the detectives saying they've scene evidence he was there, so not something they've heard. Maybe mapquest searches on the computer they confiscated recently.

There are only a few spots... Cold springs Tavern, Paradise Rd, View Look out...

There are very few places on the 154 that a car can pull over. I really hope they found something significant! Maybe at Vista Point?

They should check surveillance at the tavern if he stopped to drink since one witness thinks he was drunk and driving erratically. They should also check out Rancho San Marcos golf course right by the lake. Since he was supposedly waiting for the golf course to open at Arroyo park maybe he plays golf and stopped by there.
