Ransom's family was at his video arraignment Wednesday afternoon.

"He's a loving kid, he had five children of his own, he would have never did this if he wasn't under the influence of drugs," Merri Redd, Ransom's aunt said.

I'm not sure what's more alarming. That his aunt says he would never do something like this if he wasn't under the influence of drugs, or that he has five children of his own.

Hoping CPS conducts a home visit asap and interviews his children. Are THEY safe?
