1. No job - if he got laid off it's not his fault, I don't think there's mention as to how long he was out of a job. Finding a job can be very tough, who's to say he wasn't looking? I don't think his roommate was letting him live there free, maybe he was collecting unemployment. I doubt he had NO money.

2. He obviously had a phone if he was texting throughout the day with his friends, if it was just for text then it's probably to save on voice plan. I have a voice plan but I text way more than I call.

3. No license/ car- if no license what's the need for a car? Maybe when he lost his job he got rid of whatever car he had because he couldn't afford it. Or maybe it got totaled? If he made a stupid choice and got license suspended we can't judge just on that either, people do dumb things and get busted oh well

4. Its true that if I had a daughter bring someone home like that I may question but at least I'd question before judgment. I'd be asking what happened to his job? Why no car? Why no license? How's he supporting himself? All kinds of stuff would run through my head but most importantly I'd look at his actions and behavior with my daughter and family and judge on that.

Lastly, you don't have to be down on luck to get into a shady situation. It just takes wanting to come up... so job or no job, car no car, license no license I think it's sad that he's being judged solely on those reasons. I'd love something, anything to back up the theory or to shoot it down. I don't even know why my own theory for this case is good people caught up in bad situations over bad choices but to me, it's the best fit. I do know that I'd be saying the same even if he had a job and license (sticking with no car so the story of her picking him up still fits).

I get your point, I was just hoping there was more to it than just looks bad. I was also hoping since you're trained to see certain things that there may be something I'm (or we're) not seeing past just initial judgement or "flags".

They hardly make enough money. They also have Roomates. Long story short, one of two makes short trips to El Centro and San ysidro area for side jobs. The other one recently started working on the side jobs but just as a driver. They never go into details about what exactly they do. They're both great people and everyone likes them, their parents have no idea of these side jobs..... so long story short anything is posible.

I have a feeling that the way in which the general public might be most helpful (other than producing a real lead) is if someone remembers seeing that SUV at any point that evening.

AM's vehicle was distinctive enough, and she was traveling during hours where there might have been sparse enough traffic that she may have stood out. Hopefully someone has already phoned LE letting them know they saw her SUV--wherever they saw it. This might help a lot with timeline.

The NAMUS report states that AM was wearing black shorts, a black top and a black sweater---with black heel type sandal shoes. And that report says she wore glasses (maybe when she drove?).

Her vehicle was a 2010 Acadia Grey SUV.

The SUV had to have stopped to pick JDR up, somewhere. So this might have been at a shop or fast food joint a long the way. And then the SUV definitely stopped on I-10 just west of the Oak Parkway turn off.

There are a number of routes to get to that point on I-10. Highway 111 can get you there from Palm Desert. You could go through the mountains, and the Pinyon Pines area by way of 74 and 79.

Maybe there is someone out there, who did see that SUV and doesn't realize that the sighting was important.

I live out in the Palm Desert area and work east of LA, I drive out Mondays and some times stay Wednesday night, I drive back in Thursdays AM.
I did notice a dark colored vehicle in that vicinity on the side of the road that Thursday morning, I did not think anything of it at the time, except I drive pretty quick through some areas, I was in the #4 (far right lane) after passing some vehicles and a dark colored SUV type vehicle was on the side of the road in that area, I can't say it was their vehicle, but I remember noticing it because how close I was to it in passing. I thought to myself how careful one needs to be, I did not notice any one around because people on the side of the road would make risk and safety a greater impasse due my brisks speeds early AM. The timeframe was a between 4:45 to 5:15 to be safe.
I didn't report it at that time, but after reading about this, I looked up my Credit card info to verify the date and sent LE a notification on FB (Indio). They read it, a few weels later I saw another vehicle in the same spot and notified LE again the same way.
I'm coming back into the mainland tomorrow, I'll relook at those dates from my FB chat and r make sure Riverside LE has that info... That being said, I think I saw someone say that they did not see the vehicle there the next day( I10), but I was thinking how could aa vehicle sit there until Friday before it got attention, if that's the case we could be talking 3 vehicles in the same area.

The routes depicted were suggested by Rand McNally, and may not reflect route choices made by AM & JDR. (There are backroads and alternate routes they could have taken. And Brawley remains a mystery, as to whether JDR was ever even there.)

Not being from the area, these maps gave me a better sense of distances, etc. (Though the Beaumont to Brawley map appears to be a great distance, on RM it's only 73.3 miles between those two points. Estimated travel time 1 hr. 13 minutes.)

I should add that College of the Desert is included only because a number of articles mention that Audrey Moran attended that school. I placed the college in the map as a reference. LE has never stated that this location is in any way relevant to determining JDR and AM's last whereabouts on May 10.

So u seen it Thursday am... and Aud and jon reported missing till Thursday late into early Friday then vehicle found Fri morning early... right?

Yes, I may have seen it, there was dark colored vehicle right in that same shoulder area, I wasn't looking for it because there was no news break as yet, Thursday morning a vehicle for sure, if it wasn't their SUV that makes it a third vehicle. Wow! Thank you for the last map. I'm not familiar with the east area and I never googled Beaumont, I always thought it was near Brawley.

With this map I can think of a new theory. Maybe AM did pick up JR from brawley and on their way to go drop off something maybe something bad happen.

IF*** It was drug related like many speculate it could make sense. There's this Mexican phrase that they use in the streets "Los tumbaron" which means they're down but the real meaning of that means they were taken down to get their belongings (if drug related it will be drugs or money). Doesn't mean they're death many get "jumped" but they're left alive depending on how the victims act during the process.
