Thank you for this well thought out, and logical post.
What you describe aligns with RT's speculation that someone abducted his wife.

However, while anything is possible and the outcomes of our threads never cease to amaze and surprise me, I don't see this possibility as highly likely.
While a woman clad in a bikini would catch interest, grabbing a 5'9" woman wouldn't be that easy, unless at gunpoint....which is a possibility. A gunpoint abduction is the only scenario that would make sense in this theory. OR, she might have been angry at RT, and decided to hitch a ride back home, and something went awry. My friend who knows Bullhead well describes it as being somewhat "outlaw". People carrying guns would not be unheard of.

The above stated, I still believe Barb is like Paul Miller....out there, yet to be found.

Amateur opinion and speculation
I don't think my 'view' is necessarily aligning with RT's speculation of abduction - because he also had eyes and ears and with the description of the exact area by others, he should've potentially seen and/or heard something if that happened since he was so close to her when BT started heading back to the RV minutes earlier than RT did. Cars/vehicle noise, vehicle noise taking off suddenly, or braking, dust flying in the air after a speedy takeoff, perhaps a squeal or a scream, etc.

I have a feeling she is out there as well.

What is driving that opinion is that BT and RT may have done any number of things that seem completely illogical for us in hindsight but which seemed perfectly safe at the time. Its wrong to assume each of them acted in a perfectly logical way that was always in either of their best interests.

For example, she may have returned to the RV and decided to go off looking at something on the other side of the road, by herself, without any supplies. In 10-20 minutes she could have walked a mile or so away, about the same distance most deceased-lost people seem to be found and well outside the search area.

She may have started to walk back to the RV and then decided go back to the other side of the rocks, again in 20 minutes she could be far outside the search area.

And then there is Sheryl Powell who got lost in just 5 minutes only a few yards away from her husband and claims to have been chased by a knife wielding assailant who was lying in wait in the middle of nowhere. With a barking dog in tote.

It doesn't take a big mistake to get you into big trouble.

When you think about it even if she was in the search area there is a good chance she would be missed by professional searchers, as we know from observing many dozens of missing persons cases on this site.

I believe dbdb11 said that police told him there were photos, but they were not shown to him. I'm still disturbed by this, even though much discussion was held as to 'privacy rights' of the photos. I just can't think of one reason why NOT to share the last photos of her on that very day, showing where she was, that she was there, what she was exactly wearing, etc. So often we see photos taken of missing people just before their disappearances. Why not in this case?
Because she was in her underwear?

You would think so.
However, if he were distracted with photo taking, perhaps slightly hard of hearing, who knows.

One additional reason I think kidnapping is unlikely is that it would have taken place so close to the RV. And for all a kidnapper knew, inside that RV could have been one or more people to come flying out with guns if they heard Barb scream. It is reasonable to assume that anyone camping in a remote area (or anywhere, really) would have a firearm for protection. I know criminals take stupid risks but in this particular scenario, too many things would have had to align just so - including a kidnapper stumbling across Barb in the first place.

By his own admission though, he was finished and just putting his camera away when she started heading back, IIRC.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>

Everything RT has said points to this being Barbara's fault and it's so sad.
She was probably not drinking nor carrying a beer/drink in her hand.
The husband could not even tell us what type of container.
Did they have a 12 pack in the fifth wheel ?
Why did Barbara not have her own gallon of water ?

Considering they arrived after the dog was dropped off say at 9:30-10 am until she went 'missing' before the 911 call at 3:26 pm ---why was Barbara not carrying water ?
RT says he had the water and she only had the alcohol.

It was a hot day and a long hike since they were out walking during that time period.
Why can't LE release the 911 call ?
What is in that call that they don't want the public to know ?
Can they at least let her son listen to it; and he could tell us what was said ?
So many unanswered questions.

What happened to this thread?
What do you mean?
If you see posts “missing”, it’s because our Mods cleaned up the thread where rumors, not victim friendly statements were made, or there wasn’t a main stream media source. That is why Websleuths is a cut above the rest.

amateur opinion and speculation

Did anyone ever check the closest caves? I think someone in an earlier thread talked about going into the caves by drone.

Some of us may also have been distracted by the impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate.
And the UK leaving the EU in exactly 18 minutes time

Always check in for Barb tho. So wish she would be found

Edited - I cant tell the time. On a digital clock o_O

I keep checking in on Barb’s thread. I’m hoping our VI comes back and maybe answers some more of our questions. IMO
