I apologize for my post .. I have been SAR on many missing persons over many years ..Some have had success and some not.. I have seen family do what I have posted.. and yes they do it at a distance..

Did anyone notice how clean the truck and camper were? Even the tires were spotless.

Yes extremely clean. One would expect both to be kind of dusty after this desert trip, and the husband not caring about it with his wife being kidnapped.

No need to apologize.

People act differently when under stress so I find it hard to put them into a corner about their actions or inaction's when a loved one is missing.

Put it this way, some people are strong and proactive when there is a crisis and others fall apart with their emotions controlling their decisions. JMO

Yes, I remember Whitney Heichel’s family and friends fed the searchers in Portland OR. I thought it was such a kind thing for her mother to be right there taking care of everyone, likely knowing it wasn’t going to end well.

I imagine they told RT to go home, since it was so hot and the RV wasn’t hooked up to power.

Did they drive on a dirt road?

It's been several years but I drove thru the Mojave desert and I don't recall my vehicle getting dusty or dirty from the trip. JMO

When I watched RT's first interview I thought he was sincere. In the second interview I had my doubts. Not because of the "prime suspect" and "deceptive" comments but because of his mannerisms. Did anyone notice how clean the truck and camper were? Even the tires were spotless.

BBM

Is that evidence, though?

How is a clean truck, clean camper, clean tires, evidence that RT is responsible for BT's disappearance?

Not the vehicle but the tires and rims would. At least not shining like mirrors such as Robert's. IMO

His interviews are strange and his theory is odd.. jmho
So let me consider what he may have left out of the story...
They argued and she walked off..?

What if she walked in a different direction and then something happened. The search teams could be missing the proper search area.

Something like this should be considered. Say they argued and he let her walk off .. anyone with half a brain would know thats a jerk move the public always thinks it’s the husband anyway. Maybe he lied by omission, left out the argument piece and made everything seem copacetic thinking she’d be found?

That would explain failing a few polygraph questions. He seemed nervous but not like all Chris Watts evil creeper nervous to me. I’m a crappy judge of character though. All speculation.

I’m curious, do you know them personally? I’m asking because of your reference to “Barb”, sounded like you were familiar. :)

No I dont know either one of them. Sorry it just is very upsetting to me. I am originally from that area but I don't remember it...

If i ever go on any hike with anyone-- i never let them walk ahead so i can take a photo. The idea is to be safe and stick together. However its different with this couple as they knew the area well. Thats what i understand.. Both are experienced hikers..

Why would the tires and rims be dirty from driving on paved roads in the desert?

From my experience there's nothing out there to get them dirty. Blowing sand would tend to clean things IMO.

Maybe I'm missing something.

The wind blows constantly there. If you have been out in the desert, there is dust all over your rig. It isn't "clean sand" that just buffs your car in a desert wind.

He likes to keep a clean machine

I'm not sure that the wind blows constantly there. Link maybe?

If I parked my car there and the wind deposited dust on my car I would not be surprised.

Maybe I need to see a before and after photo of a "clean" vehicle that parked in the Mojave and then was driven away to see how "dirty" it appears to be.

ill give him benefit of doubt about the clean rig.

my hubby would channel himself into things like spit and polishing cars and tyres in a crisis for sure. just to keep busy. some people need to find some kind of normalness to cope.

could also be stripping vital evidence who knows.

If they know the area well I suppose he already had lots of pics of wherever he wanted to take a picture of.

They allegedly stopped because he wanted to make a picture of something, yet when she was on the way back to the trailer she was around a corner, so how could he have seen the spot he wanted to make a picture of while on the road I wonder.
