I agree. Another possibility came to my mind, other than love, and that would be that some people really like to portray a loving couple as it’s a big part of their identity and what they think they ‘should’ be like to be liked and admired. And again, it could be pure affection. There is absolutely nothing to take from a single photo like this for me. IMO

So many more comprehensive details before a real opinion is formed for me.

People also seem to think it’s impossible to become lost or separated in a short space of time. I’ve been both lost with my partner in the snow, and separated. Both were scary but luckily we got back on track/found each other. It really doesn’t take much to get confused or lost! Well, certainly not for me, and I hike a lot.
Well at least you are lost in the outdoors! I get lost in department stores, parking lots....it's embarrassing. A big joke amongst my friends.

with regards to media reports, as far as i can tell, between day one and day nine of the search there is literally no new, relevant info provided. and continues to be no new info besides the search having ended and passed to investigative department, as per protocol. that is a whole lot of not suspecting law enforcement claims to be doing.

happy if someone can show me i am wrong.

also, amazed no one here is talking more about wild claims Barb's son is making.

BBM

Regarding the bolded part of your post: until her son's claims are reported in the MSM, we're not allowed to discuss what he's posted on SM.

I have a horrid sense of direction and I live in desert terrain, there is no way I could get lost in an area with a two lane highway and cars every so often. I would just stop and listen for the next car.

And thank you! for help resolving my thought about her perhaps accepting a ride. That theory one less to consider for me.
I have a bad sense of direction. It’s really annoying, but very real. My partners is better, he pays attention to the sun and moon. Nonetheless, we almost spent the night in the desert due to becoming disoriented. It was not far from a highway we were making our way back to. The tricky thing was that the sound was hard to tell the direction of. Cars speeding by randomly every few minutes or less sound like a dispersed noise and it was confusing. It was after nightfall before we finally got there, picking through cacti and scratched up. We were a couple of miles from our vehicle.

IDK. I think maybe it means he watches too much crime drama tv. Plus, after being polygraphed and questioned for hours, almost anyone would feel like they were being treated as the "prime suspect" by LE. RT seems to be lacking in self awareness and an unpolished speaker to me-- someone who says whatever is on his mind without thinking about how it sounds. He probably should not have done the interviews. MOO.
Hmmm. “Prime suspect” of someone who took the wrong tra
Nobody, including both RT and law enforcement, noticed the son for six days?

We do not know that law enforcement did or did not notice the son. They are ver quiet on this case.

it can be sleuthed.

for the record, robbie did not inform barbs son she was missing. he found out from police six or so days later.
Have you talked to Barbs son?

his need to prove to the world...see! she did love me is the biggest red flag.

we all have love notes I am sure from our lovers. but they are deeply private.
it made me cringe his desperate need to express this.

moo

I thought it was so sad that he felt so disbelieved that he had to pull out those deeply personal notes to prove their love. But, that was before I got close to where I am now in my thoughts on this tragedy. Now I’m definitely on the fence and don’t know what to think. So, I’m holding 2 conflicting thoughts in my mind at the same time

Correct, all we know is the VI has made the claim that the son was not notified by anyone including LE for six days.

I’m glad someone said it. Same here. It was actually a hard stop for me.

Just because a messenger is unimpressive, does not mean that the message is completely wrong. Of course, it doesn't mean it's completely right either. JMO

Jumping off here to ask if anyone has enlarged the notes.

Maybe not, but it does make one wonder about the veracity and completeness of the information provided. MOO.

In the first photo, that trail going off to the left of the photo ... where does that lead? It would be super-easy to mistakenly take a right after circling the rocks, and go down the wrong trail, instead of taking a left and going back to the camper. I would assume that LE searched in that direction as well as the area between the rocks and the camper.

That heads straight for the wall of the Granite Mountains.

I would not want to be in an area with sketchy cell service if my sibling were seriously ill. But I am a worrier and not everyone is, I know.
Agree. But who knows if it was willingly.

I don't think BT got lost on a trail less than half a mile from their RV. I suppose it is remotely possible that she went exploring in another direction. Bear in mind that the search included SAR units with helicopters, dogs, and off road vehicles. I tend to believe that if she was there, they would have found her. MOO

Yes exactly.
BT is alive, not missing, just hiding. Just one example.
BT is alive....would not lend itself to leaving her only close family wondering. Jmo

It is very hard to believe, yes.

Amateur opinion and speculation

I can give one scenario. Maybe he was complaining about how long it was taking to get the photo done and she was touching him to let him know to please, please, please don't embarrass her in front of family and please, please, please just be patient.

the local bullhead newspaper had a single article on mrs thomas 7/16
that I can find. Must be an editorial decision.
Search continues for missing Bullhead City woman

The silence may be at the request of LE. We had a case here six years ago in which one of the local TV station said that LE had asked them not to reveal certain things while the investigation was in early stages. So they didn’t. Of course, that drove us nuts here on the thread!
