The area in which BT was last-seen (by RT) might be a "remote location" (LE's description), but it sports a "large turnout" which large vehicles/5th wheel combos may use to turn around. In fact, there are quite a few turnouts along the relevant roads. I suspect we wouldn't see so many turnouts if that area was rarely traveled or wasn't a somewhat-popular go-to location.
This Google Maps image from 2008 shows a vehicle traveling in the area the same time a Google Mapping Vehicle was driving through, photographing the area... the point being, remote area, yes; but may be well-traveled.
Do we know how far BT and RT were from the road(s) the moment BT "turned the corner"? Were they close enough for RT to hear 'traffic noise' if a vehicle would approach/drive by? Given the moderately flat nature of the terrain I'd expect at least some noise from approaching/drive-by vehicles.
Are any parts of the road(s) visible, either immediate/near-by or at some distance from where RT was taking those last photos?
Would BT have not screamed had someone attempted to abduct her? Would RT have not heard such a scream? Of course, if BT was attacked/silenced before she could vocalize loudly then this point would be moot.
This is a stretch... what if BT encountered dry quicksand?

Dry Quicksand
It isn't a likely scenario but anything might be possible at this point.
