Maybe you're thinking of thermocamera? FLIR? SAR said they could not use it, because the heat profile of the desert was too close to the heat profile of a living human body. And of course, after 24 hours out there. If she was unconscious and on the ground under the sun, her body temp would rise quickly, so they would miss the very person they were looking for with FLIR.

Thank you for explaining this. I had no idea that this was even available for searching. What a shame it can't work in the desert. I appreciate you explaining this.

He also had some time to look around the RV before calling 911 at 3:26pm (if the log is correct). I would think he would have mentioned that she returned to the RV if there was a sign of that. It sounds like he thinks she was snatched right after she "turned the corner" or "crossed that road". In his TV interview, he leaves a very small window of time for her disappearance. That may or may not mesh with her finding the key, entering the trailer, and then replacing the key for him to find.

That's the time of dispatch (not necessarily the time of the call). It could be exactly the same time, it's just another thing we don't know. I'll try and ask someone who has been a dispatcher (but every county is different is what they'll tell me, I bet).

Well, we don’t have enough info to know what made sense. Were they puttering along, taking walks at different places? Leisurely brunch somewhere? Any sort of an interesting shop along the road? (Ye Olde Desert Collectibles.) Is there a darker explanation for all those hours? We just don’t know anything. We don’t even know what their destination was, as far as I know.

Did Barbara have a cell phone that showed she was at this location?
Did they normally go to desolate areas like this (Personally, I hate the desert. To me it's a huge wasteland). I know there are some who like it, but was Barbra one of them?
The statistics on this are obvious. His stating that he failed the lie detector test are VERY troubling.

According to our VI Barbara didn't have a cell phone. Also it's been reported Barbara and Robert both loved the desert.

What happened to Barbara's dog?

I read in very early threads that she did have a dog (a photo of her with a Sheltie was posted) and it was at a boarding kennel while they were off on their camping trip. Nothing at all has been reported about the dog in MSM, but I figured when RT said on MSM video "we're missing you" that he meant himself and the dog. JMO

I finally got a chance to look at the news footage on this case. I will say that either the husband is completely innocent, or he missed his calling as an academy award winning actor.

He came off completely genuine, IMO. I’ve been wrong before, but I believe him.

BTW, why didn’t they blur out the faces of the children in the media footage?!
