Also, the interview showed the son’s notebook and mentioned “... pages of notes”

I thought they looked well organized

I swear I saw stuff about Israel and Palestine in the notes. I don't know what to think. Found the lawyer's quote oddly "blank", but that's to be expected, maybe?

I feel sadder than ever now.

Abduction Theorists - Where was BT in relation to RV?

@10ofRods :) Thanks for insightful post. snipped for focus.
Agreeing w your post ^ re RVer practices generally. Good description.

In discussing possible abductions, I think ---
- Some posters have assumed or described BT as distant from RV - for ex., yards away, where she decided (hypo'ly) to hitch a ride. If so, passersby would not automatically associate her w the RV, so poss'ly make a GoodSam stop.
- Some posters assumed or described BT as right at/next to RV and would think nothing of the rig and woman being there. Like you said - sunning and funning in the desert.

And a person pulling frantically on RV door? All/virtually all RV doors I've seen are on curb side, not street side. When parked, seems it would typically be difficult for other vehicle occupants going by to see person at door. Of course, would depend on curves in the road and angle of rig parking job, etc.

My earlier post mentioned stranger-abductor theory as oooout there, and your post ^ explains why hired-abductor seems even fuuuuurrrrrther ooooooout there, imo.

This is a pull out large enough for 3-4 rigs of that size, and I can't picture anyone using it as a kind of parallel parking. There's actually a road (Hidden Hill) going through the north side of it. It could have been in there in any direction (so...her frantic pulling on RV or truck door *might* have been seen...but I think it's really unlikely.

If she deliberately walked away from the RV OR she took a wrong turn on the trail, she could have ended up walking along the road, for sure (and would definitely look out of place/in trouble). I think many people would stop in that instance (many being...2/3 of the people on that road? Most with good intentions? She'd have to be really unlucky in any of these scenarios).

I totally agree with you that both abductor scenarios (and all of the ways that could have played out) seem really really unlikely.

If she made the determination to try and hitch a ride, wouldn't she get the key out, enter the RV, use the toilet, put on her regular clothes, grab a credit card or wallet...?

Unless she was in real fear of her life/trying to disappear, she would do those things. MOO!

Totally different tangent: I'm thinking the reason that RT told the world the police considered him a suspect is so that he'd have an excuse to lawyer up. It doesn't look odd because he says he thinks he's a suspect. I bet he asked for his lawyer at the actual polygraph.

@GordianKnot, from tonight's Indiana news:
  • Matt is certain Robert is involved in BT's disappearance.
  • Matt didn't find out that his mother was missing until six days later.
  • They call her Grandma Barbie.
  • Matt is Barbara's only child.
  • In addition to a bikini, red hat, etc., Matt says Barbara was wearing sunglasses.
  • Matt said, "None of it adds up," and "I hope he tells the truth."
  • Robert referred the reporter to his lawyer who said they are still frantically working on ways to get Barbara home.
  • And last but not least, Balant's last name is pronounced "Sell-a-var-e" ;)
MOO

I thought the interview was well done and M did good.
Any coverage is good coverage right now, that's for sure.

I swear I saw stuff about Israel and Palestine in the notes. I don't know what to think. Found the lawyer's quote oddly "blank", but that's to be expected, maybe?

Yes, they were.
And that's definitely odd.
Maybe @dbdb11 can shed some light on whether or not M has mentioned anything to him about Palestine and Israel in r/t BT's disappearance or not...

Those first couple of pages he turned over were definitely all about Palestine and Israel.
I paused the frames and could read the notes pretty much word for word.

I'm really hoping those notes are totally unrelated to M's thoughts on the case.
Hoping they're just separate research notes for something else he's working on...the reporter did say M had "pages and pages of notes," but didn't specify what all the notes were about, I noticed.

It was hugely helpful to finally hear something from the SBSCO, even it was via phone interview.
LE made it crystal clear that they conducted a thorough, exhaustive search out there, and the reporter stated that they are now pursuing "other leads."

I think we all know what that means.

JMO.

I wish I would have thought to take screen shots like the other WS quick-thinking member!
Also, the station has a “Report It” site. I’m still new here so don’t want to overstep, but maybe a long-standing member could suggest a story about our WS community and how we are trying to help Barbara and her family? If appropriate? Here is the link: Report It

Well then.

Family member says on MSM that they think RT had something to do with it.

And that wonderful little TV station in Indiana was able to get SBC Sheriff to indicate they are still actively working on the case.

Me too...so sad for her son and family. I wish I would have thought to take screen shots like the other WS quick-thinking member!

Search Warrants
Are search warrants considered public records in California, or no?
I don't know whether LE has executed any search warrants r/t BT's disappearance or not, but if they have, I wonder why MSM hasn't requested copies of those and published them...
Hopefully, MSM is keeping an eye out for any docs filed by LE with the court r/t BT's disappearance. JMO.

@GordianKnot :) Thanks for your post. ^snipping for focus^
Good point. Would MSM, esp press, be printing short follow-up items, just stating that they submitted FOIA or CA PubRec requests?

What locations would CA LE want to search now?

What has AZ LE announced to public re BT's disappearance? Have they characterized it as other than a MisPers case?

Sorry if I missed MSM or discussion/posts on this.
Seems the most likely places to search would start w BT's home, truck, RV, etc. Have these been searched by AZ LE?

Who had your back, Barbara? Who could you count on in your day to day life? That glow in all those photos came from within, but had to have been nourished by good things in your life. More than ever, I'm frantically hoping RT had nothing to do with this.

Thank you to those with the screen shots and video links.

I thought RT’s lawyer’s comments odd. “Still frantically working on a way to get information to bring [Barbara] home.”
Maybe just worded weirdly...
