Am I the only one disappointed with LAPD’s handling of this case? Clearly it was a homicide from the beginning. They found a 14 year old girl dismembered and decomposing in someone’s car… why did it take this long to name him as a suspect? What was with that statement months ago that said “no evidence of a crime beyond concealment of a body”? The times they pushed back on claims she had been dismembered when she in fact had been? STILL no arrests???

I feel so bad for Celeste and her family. It makes me physically ill knowing that the people who did this to her have been free all this time.

I’m sure it’s been posted but here is this:

Oh karma sure is a b****...So if d4vd family didn't fight so hard to not testify at the grand jury then none of the sealed documents would have been unsealed for us all to see

"D4vd's father, fought against the summons in a Texas court, and in doing so included portions of material from the California case that had not been previously available to the public."

Developmentally, I don't see David as being more than a teen himself. Oops, killed her, I will probably get in trouble, I will just put her in the car for now. And he just avoided dealing with it.

Not unlike 16 year old who killed his step sister, Anna Kepner, he just put her body in a fold up sofa. Like that is going to "hide" anything.

If nothing else, it really does demonstrate that teen brains are not yet fully developed. Geez, it is like asking who ate all of the pizza? I dunno....whatever...
He is an adult. Celeste was not.

The filings show detectives found a cadaver bag containing human remains, along with other body parts in a second bag.

The documents also identify D4vd as the target of the grand jury investigation, saying he may be involved in one count of murder.

The documents were made public through Texas appellate proceedings and are tied to the Los Angeles County grand jury murder investigation targeting the singer.

I must admit I stopped following this one for a while but does SF now work for Celeste's family? I know initially he was retained by the property owner but his continued involvement doesn't appear to be about safeguarding the value of that property.

Also DO we know that Celest was dismembered? Because I thought that was disputed by LE?

ETA I have now read portions of the grand jury doc. So she was indeed dismembered but the body parts were all located in the frunk.

Still wishing I knew what SF's dog in the fight was, aside from self promotion that is. JMO
I think he is just outraged that a lil punk like D4 can get away with hiding a 14 yr old runaway , abusing her, then discarding her and putting her dismembered remains in his trunk.

As much as Steve Fisher is a bit messy and self interested, I do think he is genuinely invested. Without him we would know sweet f-all about what's going on. Good on him for seeking out and dropping these documents, putting Celeste's case back in the news cycle. Hopefully it applies some pressure to authorities and D4vds family.

It just makes no sense that he would leave her body parts in the car that was leased in his name. That can’t be anymore incriminating for him. Maybe he forgot she was in there or he was so strung out on drugs and didn’t remember dismembering her at all?

He is pure evil. I wonder if she was pregnant. In one of the articles upthread it said that she was in the car for a long while. It was infested by insects.

Further up the thread there's a news article that says she was not pregnant.

I'm not 100% sure that D4 was the person that placed her in the trunk. I know he wasn't the one who parked the Tesla there with her in the trunk. That was Neo who was caught on video.

Makes me wonder if D4 asked one of his fanboys to dispose of his little problem ----and they chose to put her in the trunk and left the car there for weeks?

I 100% believe that D4 was the one responsible for her death. Just not sure if he was dumb enough to place her in a car registered to himself and just leave it there.

What if D4 told Neo to dispose of her and the evidence, right before the SF tour began. And then Neo might have been worried it would come back on him, if he was the one dealing with the remains, etc.....so maybe he made that brilliant decision so he could distance himself and not be the prime suspect?

I think (IMO) that Steve the PI has become morally/ethically involved in this case, just as we do, that a 13/14 year old girl has been discarded so callously and is shocked that justice for CR seems to be muted.

I salute him!
I've been between this case for many months and hoping for cuffs on D4, as well as monitoring where poor Nancy (Guthrie) is. It's a very disgusting world we see when following these cases, but yet, it's our reality :(
JUSTICE, PLEASE for Celeste and Nancy!

That makes much more sense, I didn’t know about the Neo video. I can see D4 putting that on someone else and offering money to entice them. He wasn’t smart enough to make the evidence disappear himself.

I really think that he was so enamored with himself and his brand new fame that he thought he could get people to do stuff for him. You are only as strong as your weakest link (Neo).
