I didn't see it as an argument. I thought that was a great way to recenter the conversation. There are a lot of big feelings when there are really bad outcomes with kids. And objectivity can get lost for sure!

this case reminds me of the 14 year old california girl (alicia navarro) who ran away with that 30 year old to montana. they met on discord.

its believed D4vd met her on discord. we need to discuss the Discord chat app. it is the app of choice by pedophiles, groomers, and kidnappers. little to no real moderation.

something i came across - i don’t think it’s in msm, but you can look up the dates - is that he would release songs on her birthday (7th of september) every year. on her 12th birthday he released the song romantic homocide

i posted here before about wondering if she could have been pregnant, since that seems such a common reason for young girls to get killed. but reading more of his lyrics i get the idea he was obsessed with her, and maybe obsessed with (and romanticising) the idea of killing her too, way before he did it. and i know lyrics are not always meant to be taken literal, they might not be used as evidence in court, i could turn out to be completely wrong! it’s just my feeling at this point that it was some kind of obsession, maybe eventually the thing that pushed him was jealousy over something dumb, and that’s it.

yes, this is the only thing that still has me riding that uncomfortable fence. I am about 75% sure Burke is responsible for CR's death at this moment, but evidence of who was driving and parking that car up and down the block would help me land firmly on the - he did this side of things.

It may have just been him yelling about it because he’s upset not only that it happened but also that it was some open secret and no one seemed to care but to me he seemed too excited to show off to his students and talk about it.

I was on the fence about what to believe or what my to believe in this case - mainly due to the fact that there happens to be another girl called Celeste in his social circle (who is an adult). Her face was obscured in all the pictures of them allegedly together up until yesterday, and any mention of celeste could be referring to the other girl. But after seeing the picture of them actually together and reports of people seeing them together in person I’ve changed my mind. Also, this tweet by him made my skin crawl.

Even before any of this happened, no person with good intentions would write something like that.

Regardless of if he’s guilty of killing her or not, regardless of the nature of the relationship even, he knowingly established a relationship with a child who was his fan. Talk about power imbalance. Even if we find out that he didn’t kill her, it’s clear that at least someone in his orbit did, given that she was found in his car. He’s ultimately responsible for putting her in that situation and for having no regard for her safety.

About 10,000 people go missing in Los Angeles each year (and that's just the ones that are reported).

I am thinking that "extended period of time" was likely over a month, given the clues about decomp and the difficulty in identifying her ethnicity and initially, even her sex.

Could be even longer.

IMO. What a gruesome, ugly, heinous crime. I hope it is solved soon.
