I would assume that if he told the PD or ME that it closely resembled Celeste, she wouldn’t of been unidentified + only identified via DNA

She was born in 2010. She was not 12 in 2024.Agreed !
The reporting has been somewhat confusing for this case.
Celeste was 12 in 2024.
She was 13 when found deceased.
There is a possibility that she'd told David she was older, we don't know.
No blame to her as I think she was groomed and maybe didn't want to lose that connection she thought she had with David ?
And that may be the cause of confusion for msm because some sources are still reporting her as 15 when found.
Her mother reported her missing in 2024, according to sources I've linked.

The Riverside County Sheriff told TMZ the teen was reported missing on April 4, 2024 ... and she was found dead in the vehicle in a Hollywood tow yard on Sept. 8 this year -- one day after her birthday.
They reported her missing when she didn't return after leaving with David to go see a movie.
She was with David with her families' consent, it appears from the interview the reporter had with her brother; they reported her as missing when she didn't return.
We all want to believe the best about David, but it doesn't sit well with me that she was found in his car.
It may have been someone else who ended her life, but she was with David when last seen.

The listed date of death on the LA Coroner website is always the date of body being found/date death was pronounced. For example, this man’s remains were discovered earlier this year (he was unidentified for a few months which is why I remember him), and the date of death is the date his partial skeleton was found. He obviously didn’t entirely skeletonize and disarticulate in less than a day, but that is when his death became known to the medical examiner. It’s the same with the place of death info.

I mean.. Whenever I was a teenager, my parents could advise me on what to and not do.. but at the end of the day.. i was gonna do whatever I wanted to do..
If Celeste's family didn't care that she was gone, or if they knew she was indeed with David; I dont think they would have filed a missing persons report for her.

Good point -- many ways to spin the story to parents especially if the tween/ teen is determined enough and knows parent(s) well enough to pitch the story so it sticks.
I can imagine a scenario in which D4VD or a member of his entourage managed to convince C's family that she was contributing in some important way to the music, the art, the whatever, and that she was being ever so well supervised, taking online classes, blah blah blah, etc.
The whole scenario is difficult to decode at the moment. And to leave a child in pieces in a car -- absolutely and horrifically cruel.

It does make me wonder that since teachers are mandated reporters if the information about the rapper and the blackmailing was escalated to the LE or reported by the teacher after students talked to him about it last year?
It does make me wonder again too that based on what the CR’s brother had said to NBCLA and the video of the teacher talking to his class above,
if there wasn’t already a paper trail within LE indicating before CR was identified via dental records that there was a 13 years old Celeste Rivas reported missing from Lake Elsinore in April 2024 and that according to police reports she was found once already in Hollywood, was in a relationship with a rapper/singer named D4vd and that she was last seen going to the movies with him? If so though I wonder why LE would have been comfortable letting D4vd leave the state after the remains discovery or not have called him back to LA for more questioning prior to her identity officially being revealed to the public or to the 16th when he canceled his show was canceled. Even in the case that perhaps CR’s records were not discovered, shouldn’t something have come up when LE looked up D4vd?
Then again, if such a paper trail did exist wouldn’t CR’s mother have been known and contacted by LE directly before or without TMZ contacting them about her or her daughter?
When CR was located in Hollywood the first time, which LE department was in charge or had conducted the search and brought her home? Was it Riverside’s or LAPD or Elsinore’s Sheriff Department?

I was thinking the same thing too. There are no such thing as coincidences and for there to be so many in this case, the tattoo, her mom identifying her bf as "David," if she was getting tattoos i will bet she was also having sex with him. A 20 year old is not going to fall in love with a 13 year old especially when there career is just taking off and he is going to leave on tour, maybe they got into a fight and she threatened to tell police he was using her for sex, maybe she was pregnant. The biggest problem i have is the fact that D4vd was promoting bloody shirts for romantic homicide, and I think he got too big for his bridges and I think maybe he could have been romanticing murder in his mind and although I don't see him doing something stupid to jeopardize his career, I think it's important to find out where CR was especially when she first went missing and who she was with in her final days as well. I also feel like the body was hacked up to try and cover something else up or whoever did this would have at least tried to get rid of the body somewhere why only remove parts of her instead? There is too much gap between the time she went missing and was discovered. The examiners report says she was killed in the vehicle, but how easy would it be to chop someone up in a fronk? Wouldn't you most likely have to remove her from the fronk and then reinsert her back into the vehicle where she was found in pieces?
Guys I’d be more inclined to blame the 20 year old who groomed a child, as well all his management, his whole team, and all the grown up friends he has for not raising concerns or reporting the situation, as opposed to blaming the victims family. So many comments here asking why the family didn't do anything ( they reported her missing ) or why they didn’t do more (what exactly should they have done?). Not a good look.
I’ll be honest, I’m willing to bet that the police weren’t particularly useful here. There’s a chance she was still in touch in and off with her family while she was missing. Not missing if she’s in touch right? She was often seen with him, someone rich and famous that she wanted to be with, and the police probably thought she was were she wanted to be. It was all so open that I can imagine them thinking that there couldn’t possibly be something shady going on.
Bottom line is, there were industry professionals who knew about this. He was always surrounded by people, because people want to be in the vicinity of success. And no one raised the alarm?? That’s who I blame. It’s not an easy thing to do, I know, I’ve been there. But it’s a VERY easy decision to make.

Totally agree, what a sad case this is. I would certainly never let my children associate with anyone in the industry.

DOGOODER, Hello new member! But, where did you read she was killed in the car? I find that so odd, because that would mean there was blood evidence "in" other places of the vehicle. (I can imagine only one way that could/would be possible and really makes me lean towards a premeditated event.) I'm thinking a reporter might have made a typo?

Maybe the report actually said place of death was the vehicle, since that was where her body was found, and not that she was "killed in the vehicle".
I'm not saying it didn't say that, but to me, it would make more sense if it said that was the place of death, or the place she died.
I was under the impression that those reports would say place of death was wherever the body was found, even though an investigation might reveal that the person actually died elsewhere and body was moved. Just like they state their death date as the date the body was found, even though they may have actually died long before the body was found.

That’s not what that actually means though. Place of death listed in the LA county coroner website is always the place a body was found or where death was pronounced.
For example, this woman was found in a burning dumpster in 2009 (I remember her because she was unidentified for 13 years); the place of death is listed as an alley. Her body was obviously dumped there and this isn’t where she actually died, but it’s the location where she was when it became known to the medical examiner that she was deceased. https://me.lacounty.gov/case-detail/?caseNumber=2009-07634
So much misinformation and confusion in this case because people don’t know how to correctly interpret the data given through this website.

So, the Medical Examiner (M.E) is not a detective. In a way, sure(since they’re investigating the forensics), BUT - not the detectives.
Right now, I would assume, the M.E and officers are working together to determine how & or where she died.
For EXAMPLE, if the M.E noted blunt force injuries; they could tell the detectives something like.. “You’re likely looking for an object with a ____ shaped end, due to the ___ patterns on her __”
Long story short, with it still being under investigation, it’s not going to say exactly where she died; since they haven’t even stated how she died.
To determine how she died and where she died, it will likely take collaborative efforts between LE & the M.E
