CA - Boeing 777 from S. Korea Crashes at San Francisco SFO

Question was repeated about pilot error. She stated that everything is still on the table, but too early to say and they have not gotten to SF to start the investigation yet.

I can't believe that David Eun. It is a miracle that he is even alive. But to be able to put out a twitter is just WOW

Some of the nomenclature these folks use is a little unfortunate. Chairwomen for the NTSB Team going to San Francisco to investigate the crash talked about all the things they need to put in order so that when they arrive they can 'hit the ground running'.

WUSA has a banner saying "plane smacked into sea wall short of runway"

KTVU (local, SF news) is reporting many survivors...but they have failed to produce even one for an interview...translators are being requested..

Reports of Amer execs having a close call ("I almost got on that plane..."I just got off that plane..., etc.)
Absolutely disgusting lack of humanity by the rich, elite, entitled.

REALLY sick of hearing "Susan Sandburg's story.

SF General has received 10 so far - all critical - 8 adults, 2 children. They expect 20 more at least.

Not trying to offend - just sad and angry.

Spokeswoman SF General Hospital. Have received 6 women, 4 men. All in critical condition. All Korean speaking. All are in OR or ICU. Families are coming to visit their loved ones.
They expect to receive another 20 to 30 people. Entire trauma team has come together and is working. They are clearing out other patients who don't absolutely have to be there.
They have interpreter services they work with as well as Korean speaking staff. (I think a couple of the 10 people children, but I am not positive of that) (Note: Confirmed, two of the ten are children.) She will update hourly until there is no new information.

Two runways at SFO have reopened.

does anyone know - How many hours required to fly a 777?

  • #70
Shortage of Immigration officers at Oakland to work with 3 International flights diverted from San Francisco. Causing some delay.

Find one person who was "minimally injured" to speak to reporters.

KPIX saying second wave of people arriving at SF General.

230 people who have been hurt one way or another. Obviously not all critical, of which there are 40.

What shocked me from his photo was passengers leaving the plane with baggage!!!! I sincerely hope no one died because people were getting their bags out of overhead storage and blocking the aisles. Jmo

Apparently there is construction going on at SFO (lengthening the runways) which means that instrument landing help does not currently exist. Because of that pilots are required to visually land the plane.

CNN currently has a person that was on the plane when it landed.. Interesting story he is telling.....

EDITED: His name is ELLIOT STONE

Seems he is saying where the flight attendants were dropped out of the plane farther back and the emergency crews did not respond to them very quickly at all..

Presser: Not everyone has been accounted for yet as it is a fluid situation..
