I just read about the Linnea Lomax case and she was found two and 1/2 months after her disappearance in an area relatively close to where she disappeared, dead by her own hand most likely on the same day of the disappearance. The area had been "searched" previously. In the two and 1/2 months there were various "sightings" of Linnea Lomax up and down California.
Having just moved from the SCV to South Orange County I feel a strong connection to this case. Most City folk don't realize how vast and brushy even the borderlands of the wilderness areas are and there could still be many things later found in an area previously "searched." Also, not to sound grisly but nature exists in that area and nature has its own way of quickly disposing of decomposing biological matter; the reason why so many folks that are lost in wilderness areas are never found.
