Crazy!! If that's true, I wonder why they didn't move to Northern California, where Bryce was going to college. Living in Southern California is expensive, the houses are expensive. They probably would have spent less over all to just pay out of state tuition.

My son went to college out of state and we had to pay out of state tuition. We didn't move there because my husband was still working and I hate the extreme heat. But if I had moved to that state, it would have been in the same town as the college my son went to so he could live at home and his expenses wouldn't have been so high.

For some people... Retiring in a moderate climate by the ocean (Laguna Niguel) outweighs the cost of living... KWIM?

Does anyone know if we are allowed to discuss criminal convictions if they can be linked to an online county superior court site? TIA

This is AWESOME~ Thank you! One correction - I believe it was stated that Bryce took "at least one pill". I think that the "at least" is significant.

Just my guess ... if it's about BL as an adult I would think it could be discussed ... anyone else would probably be off limits ... but a mod could give you a for sure answer to your question. HTH

Does that dam wall at Castaic Lake have a point of entry that a determined person might be able to access?

The 'Lighting Their Way Home' events just started. I can not attend, but wanted to show support of some kind.
Closest thing I could find to a glow stick: :sunshine:

Do out of state tuition rates apply at community colleges? I know they do at state and university...

Thank you for doing this timeline.
The part where you wrote BL bought 3 gallons of gas then went back to the rest stop. I interpreted the information given to us differently. Christian delivered 3 gallons of gas, then because he wasn't answering his calls from mom, mom called Christian who went back yo the rest stop and found Bryce still there. Bryce talked to his mom and then got $39 worth of gas at Oasis. Then there is a 10 hr gap until he was found at hotel be LE. Would be great to have some clarification on this.

I'm not sure, my son went to a University. I just don't understand why they would take early retirement and move to another state for him to go to community college, not even a University, then move 9 hours away. Where my son went to college, I could get there in 8 hours driving. Just one more thing that makes no sense to me.

There were a few entries concerning Christian, the roadside assistance
man. They are as follows. Do we have everything you are concerned about
or do I need to change some of the following? The "BL got the 3 gallons"
was directly from KL's timeline or radio appearance, IIRC - I didn't want to
change up her words if not necessary. Thx

Th 29-Aug 9am Buttonwillow BL ran out of gas near the Buttonwillow Rest
Area, west of Bakersfield and called roadside assistance. Confirmed by the
credit card company.

Th 29-Aug 12pm Buttonwillow A roadside assistance serviceman named
Christian delivered three gallons of gasoline to BL, according to a $20
credit card purchase for the fuel. “He’s not answering his phone (at this
time),” KL said.

Th 29-Aug 12:30pm Buttonwillow KL called serviceman Christian and asked
about her son. He told her he appeared “OK” but added: “His eyes look a
little red.” BL did not answer his cell phone.

Th 29-Aug 12:30pm Buttonwillow Per BL's Uncle, dragracerz: BL bought
$39 worth of gas at the Oasis Valero Station on Lagoon Drive.

Th 29-Aug Buttonwillow KL stated that several hours after BL got the 3
gallons of gas the man who brought him the gas went back to check on BL
and BL was in the same location, which means that BL got gas in
Buttonwillow and then drove back to the same spot at the rest stop.

They may have planned all along to retire in So Cal, and maybe Bryce looked into colleges based on where mom/dad were going to move to. Once they saw price difference for community college with dorms vs university with dorms, well that part would be a no-brainier for me, I'd quickly opt for community college if there were no scholarships. :)

If they concern Bryce and he was at least eighteen...as far as I know.

Only if it's directly related to the case. Since we have no POI's or suspects, it would have to be something Bryce himself was convicted of that would have bearing on him being missing now.
