Maybe this isn't important to him, but if he did in fact find hookers in that area who had teeth that's pretty impressive. I think it's a great idea to search and re-search the motels.

I'm trying not to get all stuck on this idea, but I wonder if they've thoroughly searched and flyered the racetrack as well. He could've easily befriended someone there, and be hanging out on the road in their RV without them having any idea he's missing. I know it sounds a little crazy but it wouldn't shock me, either.

Unless you've hired one in buttonwillow that doesn't say much. Plenty of normal looking people stop in buttonwillow as a rest stop. Its easy for plenty of normal looking people to be trying to sell themselves for gas money. This is a common occurrence in truck stops. Girls flirting for rides or money.

Bryce was not at a motel. When they pinged his phone, the closest address was a motel. Officers responding did not find him at a motel.

Someone asked why he ran out of gas at a truck stop or something like that, I think he may have been sleeping in the car with it running to keep the A/C on and ran out of gas

I don't even know if there was pictures taken at the crash site. If there were, family has never seen them.
It was never told to us that they had and were not releasing any pictures.

Bryce had taken a drug that was not prescribed to him for people with ADD & ADHD. Just because not a street produced drug and is pharmaceutical does not mean is is not a dangerous addictive drug. Its highly addictive. People that don't have ADD use it to get high and have bad side effects from this drug. This drug he took is sold to college students and others on the street and hotels, motels everywhere. You need to talk to drs, psychiatrist experts and google this drug and most likely this was why his behavior was strange. Caron and Dragz had confirmed he took this drug. This drug is a common problem. I know all to well about Vyanese and Adderall because my son that was a college student got addicted to thiese drugs and did crazy things and behaviors like Bryce that day and would go missing around lakes and other places. I have 10 years of hell going through my son addiction to this drug. it caused him to go into psych hospitals, I've learned everything about these two drugs. It didn't make Bryce a bad person or addict but he did take Vyanese that they no of. Yes college students do lie and don't tell family members everything. They do sell this drug at crack motels as my son told me. My son was straight A student. Had tons of friends. Athletic in every sport got the presidents award. He got addicted to Adderall and his life went to hell.<modsnip> We need to take the blinders off and quit hiding the truth in order to find Bryce. I stopped being embarrassed about his drug usage years ago because I wasn't alone.

I am not hiding anything. Yes Bryce took VyVanse on a couple occasions, That I know of.
Yes, I am sure you can get it at motels, truck stops etc.
The FACT remains that he was not found at a motel
I am just trying to keep people on track here and not put too much overthought of him being at a motel, with a hooker, or buying drugs, etc

with all respect, no one that i know would feel *safe* sleeping near motels in Buttonwillow. even my big, burly, 6'3 son. remember, we're talking HOURS unaccounted for there.

Even if he obtained drugs from a truck stop, motel, or somewhere else, would that really identify what happened, I think not, and here's why:

1. he could have obtained drugs, crashed, sustained a head injury and wandered off
2. he could have obtained drugs , had a plan to disappear, and disappeared
3. he could have obtained drugs, went to the lake and committed suicide

i would want to know every step he took there, talk to every possible person he could have talked to. even your sister said "something happened there". i'd be tearing that town up. and please understand, i could very well be in your sisters shoes and i think of that every day i log in here. i'm on your side!!

Yes!! Because if he has disappeared you CAN find him. He may need that push to realize this all can be fixed.

Throw morals out the window, grab a bunch of $20's and go start asking questions. See if anyone is willing to speak.

If you are uncomfortable with this hire a PI.

A lot of people hate cops and won't speak to them. The key to find any missing person is speaking to the last people they spoke to. That would include more than just his mom.

All along even though I helped search I had a bad feeling that he didn't make it

After I heard about the drug conviction even though it is a very small amount I was actually relieved!! That tells me there's a chance he just did something stupid and is worried about consequences.

Despite you thinking these scenarios are bad, any scenario that has him being alive, is a great one.

I have tons of ideas on how to go about checking this angle. As a matter of fact I emailed KL and told her I had run away myself and thought I could be of assistance.

You may think people are just annoying, nosey and intrusive at times, but the bottom line is, one these scenarios may just bring him home.

I am the uncle, I am emotionally involved, but I try to distance myself from that when thinking about what could have happened.
I do try to look at all the "dark" angles and realize that we might not find Bryce alive, it is reality, but I also think there is a possibility of him being out there with a head injury, possibly amnesia or a similar injury, yes, that is what the family hopes for, and there have been many other cases of that happening before. <modsnip> I am well aware of every possibility, and though I hope for Bryces safe return also know what other outcomes could be.

Why do you think hookers or drugs are a DARK angle that has him dead???? I'm speculating that he could be alive and well and just made a mistake.

I don't know whether you have seen Bryce's phone, or whether the police have discussed the contents with you, but is there any chance that there is an app called Tinder or Grindr on his phone?

Either of these apps could be a way that Bryce could have met people in Buttonwillow, Castaic, or anywhere else along the way. Something to explore...

I am happy to provide more info on what Tinder and Grindr are if you like.

I assure you that all of the things mentioned, talking to last people seen, investigating Buttonwillow, etc. are being looked into

I have also been rethinking the reward option (against LE advise) in the event that he is missing on his own.
I have tried numerous times to involve TES with no luck.

I have tried to keep an open mind, and look from "outside the box" at every angle

I have been on here trying to post facts and not keep any information from anyone (as long as it wouldn't hinder an invegtigation), and have given a lot of info not available anywhere else, in hopes that someone on WS could come up with more than I was thinking. I have gained a lot from WS, and for that I thank all on here, but,I don't know, maybe I am too emotionally involved and don't belong on this site.
