Exactly what I thought but there are 2 Antelope Valleys in CA one up North and one down South actually I believe the one up north is just Called Antelope.

Yes, as a Sacramento local with friends who live there I can confirm Antelope is really close to Roseville. I'm not 100% sure but it's probably attached to Roseville in some spots.

ETA: and the one near here is definitely not called Antelope Valley, just Antelope. I don't know where the roommie is from, but there is an Antelope not far from the college.

Thanks for your input Riverking!

So, if you don't mind me asking, do you have an opinion on where you think Bryce is? I'm assuming you think he made it out of Castaic considering the pay phone remark. I think the fact that there are pay phones is huge! Very good to know..

Agreed, especially considering how hard it is to find pay phones these days!

No these are not correct. The impression in the dirt would indicate the SUV only rolled a couple of times. I believe this is bad reporting on the media end and misleading. The tow truck pulled the SUV out of the dirt and you could see that at the top of the hill. There is a ton if brush in the hillside and if the SUV rolled over it it would've flattened it and there are no impressions in the brush at all.

This is the spot that BL's suv landed, confirmed from dragracerz via his brother and brother in-law when they were on site.

It never rolled down the side of the mountain on the road. This wash with gravel you are referring to is no bigger then 2 feet wide at the most. He wasn't attempting to get down the side of hill at 19 years old in that small SUV he would not risk it. Even being 33 with a big lifted 4x4 I wouldn't do it not a chance. He's SUV got stuck in the soft sand and as he tried to turn the wheel it rolled that's what the evidence points to. There are impressions where the vehicle landed and where the tow truck pulled it out. I think there is a lot of confusion surrounding the actual "crash site"

I should note we tried to replicate his positioning with my truck at the site to try and understand what he was doing. I've been involved with the search teams and the volunteer group since this happened. The one thing that I think needs to get cleared up is the actual accident itself there is a lot of misleading info on where the truck landed and google maps is not helping this situation much.

Thank you for giving some insight into this. With regards to getting stuck, I am wondering which direction he was stuck in, as in did he start to make the attempt to go down hill and when he realized how steep it was, tried to back up, or was he pointed at Lake Hughes Road and was stuck trying to go forward? Has it been established if the SUV went down hill backwards or forwards before it rolled?

What makes this a point of index for me is why would he attempt to get into a spot where he could be cornered by LE or Parks. I guess I am stuck on what could be so important down near the boat ramp that he attempted both gates and tired the break in the guardrail. Respectfully, looking for a quiet spot does not warrant the attempts he made to access a restricted (after hours) area. I am sure there are many other pay phones he could have used.

I believe he absolutely made it out of there. I believe that Bryce was planning on moving out. My reason for believing that is SD had already made arraignments to move out on Oct 9th. I believe that this was the big news that he wanted to talk to his mother about. I also believe that Bryce just might be up in Oregon. <modsnip>

I think that's the deal he wasn't attempting to get down to the ramp. I believe he is attempting to hide behind the tower to smoke some pot. Reason for this is because the time he headed back up the hill was "420" which in the weed community is a significant #. He believe he found the spot earlier then went back up later and went to hide and smoke there and check out the view for a bit of peace and serenity. Trust me it would be an amazing sight that late at night with music on and some pot.

On the hill you can see the imprint where the SUV was in the soft dirt. I don't think anyone has actually seen pictures of where the SUV landed.

yep - that's what it was - just a bunch of stunned icons cause my facial expressions were identical to those icons as I read RiverKing's theory and it all made sense! For the first time in this case, it all made sense! :thud:

nose first, confirmed by dragracerz

That would give weight to him starting to go over the edge and then realized it was too steep, but all attempts to back up failed causing the two marks making it look like he was stuck.

Trying both gates and then the gap in the guardrail do not spell looking for a quiet place to relax to me. The chance of getting caught by LE would be too great with no where to go. Trapped between two gates would be darn hard to explain to a Deputy. It also begs the question of why it was so important to willfully attempting to get in. If one wanted to ditch a vehicle without it being found for days, or even years, this would be, by far the best way to do it and it gives weight to him still being alive.

If you are in the area can you get some pictures?

I was so a negative Nancy about him being alive for weeks now. After hearing about the conviction and more about the accident scene I for once truly believe he's alive.

confirmed nose first and there were acceleration marks left in the gravel. He may have thought he was hitting the brake or was in reverse or was attempting to ditch the suv.

I don't think Bryce had any big major plans lined up other then to spend time with Kim therefore taking only a few belongings and had planned on coming back according to SD.

He was sleep deprived for 3 days, under the influence of Vyanese. He was acting so erratic Kim and roommate took his keys. From the minute he got his keys back and entered his vehicle everything he did from that point on was impulsive and not wise decisions. In other words I don't think he was in the right state of mind that led up to all these bizarre events that we are trying to figure out why. He was just jumping around place to place as his my was boggled. I know when I has insomnia for days I could not think straight and clearly. I was a mess.

The accident was the straw that broke the camels back. I think he was quite shaken up over that. I just hope he is found safe somewhere.

My FIL used to live in Antelope. It's actually closer to Citrus Heights...

I agree, announcement to mom seemed "very emotional" and BL seemed to have been "very anguished about the situation" or something!

And, I've also wondered if "he felt betrayed for some reason" to have prompted the break up not once but twice and within two days. JMO

I don't know if I agree with him feeling betrayed by KS. I am thinking more along the lines of cutting off all ties to his life in that area because he was moving on to something else....what that "something else" was/is will answer where he might be now. MOO.

My reason for thinking that is that's where they harvest and grow pot and right now it's what they call trimming season. Now a lot of these growers <modsnip>

Thank you so much for your insight Riverking21!! I have always believed he left the Castaic area with a person he would know but never thought about the SD possibility. :bang:

And welcome to WS :tyou:
