I woke up this morning feeling like we need some feet on the ground around Sierra College. Certainly by now there has to be some theories, scuttlebutt, something. Do we have anyone on here that can pass out some flyers and poke around?

The difference between posters going on searches and being up around Sierra College is this: information reported on the locale and what is seen at the search location is discussable on WS. What one may find out talking to folks in Sierra College or even in Buttonwillow is not discussable as it is considered rumor.

Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate it :)

If this kid is out there and not wanting to be found I think the first thing he would do would be to shave his head.

that long list of questions is exactly what we need to break this wide open and find Bryce....where are you?? Prayers that you are warm and safe and contact family soon.

Unfortunately, even if the family decides to release the answers to the questions we want answered by a verified insider it will only result in more confussion and speculation. People will still be split on wether they think he is hiding, committed suicide, has a mental illness or was severely injured. The police have all of the information and aren't able to find him. His family has those answers and isn't able to find him. His girlfriend has those answers and she isn't able to find him. Believe me, knowing the specific details of how he was acting, what specifically he said, what happened with his roommate, etc. only leads to more questions and doesn't indicate where he went after the crash. I am right there with everyone else, it is frustrating not being able to find Bryce and bring him home to his family. MOO

I think he walked away from that car crash and is with whomever he was there with.
I do think he is running and is no longer in that area at all.
I think there are many pieces to this puzzle and unfortunately we here at WS cant put it together.

I completely understand where you're coming from and see your point however that's not necessarily true. Just because LE are involved doesn't mean they have the answers for everything. As a matter of fact, I have LE in the family and they paint a very different story. One of them is a detective and on numerous occasions has told me one of the most frustrating parts of his job is figuring out the stuff people don't want to share with LE. He said that people hold back in fear something they might say could have legal repercussions.

So there is a high possibility that detectives may not have all the answers. They may have the same questions or may even be one line of questioning behind us. We will never know.

While we do have those 4 main possibilities for why he's in hiding, once answers surface at least half of those possibilities will go out window because they won't fit with what information we know. No one question will get us to that point but a series of questions answered can easily tell if someone was leading up to abandoning there previous life or attempting suicide.

For example, a lot of suicide victims say goodbye before they kill themselves. Not in your typical goodbye sense, but have leading statements that only make sense after death such as "you've always been the best friend I ever had" or "you saved my soul" ;).

So in that case finding out if he made other statements to people could be critical etc...

Sorry for the epic post

By the way if anyone wants research about the subliminal goodbye statements or how people hold back information for fear of criminal repercussions let me know.

Should have put a example on the reprocussions at least and I didn't.

Let's say I and a friend "Lucy" were partying hard taking ecstacy the day before she went missing. I probably would be afraid to share such information with LE as it would implicate myself.

Let's say this did hypothetically happen with you and "Lucy". What would change your mind to share everything that really happened? Who would you feel safe sharing with?

The only thing that would probably change my mind would be time, and unfortunately a lot of it. Years later I might say it since I've grown up and realize it could have possibly helped. As far as telling people, probably a close friend or best friend. As mad as I'd be, I'd hope my best friend would do the right thing and sell me out (ya right!).

Lauren S.'s "friends" including her longtime BF won't even talk to police about what happened to her, more than two years later. People are mostly out for themselves, IMO. Better chance of getting info from strangers sometimes, IMO.

@ Amanda

What if you were given absolute assurance from LE that you would not be charged/prosecuted?

In your hypothetical, would you then tell LE all you knew about "Lucy" and the events leading up to her disappearance? TIA

I think I would actually.

It could have been a last minute decision to harm himself not necessarily planned but could have been triggered by a number of events leading up to it.

I've had to step back from this for a few days. It really started to consume me. I still never stopped thinking about it. It really just racks my brain. As much as I love helping, I couldn't ignore my motherly duties. Lol. Even my kids started pointing out BL's posters all over town.

I tried to skim back through some of the posts but I'm not seeing anything too significant and at this point for me, it's just too much info. I'm really hoping to go help out with the search this weekend. I'm trying to secure some babysitting and hopefull I can help out for at least a few hours.

Hoping and praying that his parents and family gets some answers soon. Watching my kids run around and play it breaks my heart to think what his mother is going through.

Does anyone know the forensics of the car. Is there a report anywhere. I would like to know about finger prints in the car, items left in the car. What was the gas gauge on. Was the radio turned on and what was the volume it was set on. Anything little thing could be a clue. jmo

Oh definitely. Many suicides are unplanned. I tried to make it clear it wasn't ALL suicides but always good to clarify.

The only reason I bring it up was because of the "you saved my soul" statement. It would be interesting to know if any other statements like that were made and in what context.

However, based on how strange the events were post leaving school, whatever happened I doubt was spontaneous unless it was as a result of the accident. Too many weird things and too much time went by during those 2 days for it to be a completely spontaneous plan (whether it be intentionally running away or suicide).

I think he may have dyed it.
