If Bryce is out there, he could be hiding in plain sight.
He could dye his hair and eyebrows, use mascara to cover his red eyelashes and use a tattoo cover up, just google it, the make it.
He could be staying with someone, clothes would be no problem. He could be doing odd jobs where he would not need identification.
If someone intends to go missing they usually leave everything behind. IMO.

I think he may have dyed it.

Where did he get the money for the dye? I don't think he would have left his laptop, wallet, cell, and bag if he were planning on hiding. According to find Bryce FB his family doesn't believe hiding theory as well.

We need those AT&T records back. Dragracerz posted no results back. Been 41 days ridiculous.

I was thinking in plain sight, as well.

I discounted suicide early on and now think it is possible, but not probable. I would hope that if he was leaning that way his roommate or someone would alert family/LE early on. That's not something I would want on my conscience.

I gave some thought to accidental death, drugs, exposure, a fall. I don't know.

About ratting a friend out, I did it. Someone confided in me and I felt the danger out weighted the secret. Yes, I had some people madder than hornets at me, but 30+ years later I am still close to main parties even though they no longer live by me. Maturity made them realize I was doing the right thing.

I pray that Bryce is just doing one of those dumb things we all have done in pains of growing up and will sheepishly resurface soon.

Money isn't always in a wallet. When people run from scene of accident they usually don't worry about belongings.

I understand that but I don't think he was intentionally planning to go into hiding nor do Bryce's family.

Unfortunately, even if the family decides to release the answers to the questions we want answered by a verified insider it will only result in more confussion and speculation. People will still be split on wether they think he is hiding, committed suicide, has a mental illness or was severely injured. The police have all of the information and aren't able to find him. His family has those answers and isn't able to find him. His girlfriend has those answers and she isn't able to find him. Believe me, knowing the specific details of how he was acting, what specifically he said, what happened with his roommate, etc. only leads to more questions and doesn't indicate where he went after the crash. I am right there with everyone else, it is frustrating not being able to find Bryce and bring him home to his family. MOO

BBM: you think we've missed some scenarios?

on a serious note, i believe insight to his state of mind prior to him going missing would narrow down the search options. i.e. psychosis - search homeless shelters, hangouts; suicide - cadaver searches near crash site; voluntarily missing - gather more clues and search appropriately.

with volunteers dwindling, a more focused search might be productive.

i hope they really dig into his gaming forums/chat - i feel strongly he might have met someone in this venue and was communicating with them there.

my latest thought on *saved my soul* - Bryce was relieved when SD told him he was moving out in October. might have been his excuse for leaving school.

was the cell in Bryce's name only? paid for by him?

While I don't know for certain, I doubt it. His parents had access to the cell phone data online pretty early on and Bryce didn't have an income so I would guess that it was on his parent's cell phone plan and they paid for it.

I think by the family focusing on Bryce gone missing because of head injury or amnesia keeps people searching for Bryce in the hopes that he is still alive.

Maybe the family knows more than what is out in the media. They could have info he was suicidal and depressed but don't release it to the public for Bryce's privacy if he is still alive.

If the family let it out they thought he could be deceased due to suicide or head trauma, brain hemorrhage and collapsed while walking in the hot heat or passed out in the lake and drowned that day and no one around him to call paramedics until it was too late the searches and volunteers would most likely dwindle. And their could be a real possibility he is alive somewhere.

I think by the family focusing on Bryce having amnesia and is a medical missing person and sticking to that belief is a great strategy to keeping the searches going to find Bryce alive or deceased.

I think the first 30 days that was a critical stance but not so sure now. Volunteers are very minimal at this point. I couldn't find 2 other people to go to BW, a month ago I could have filled buses. Something needs to change IMO.

I think for the family it's more about holding onto every glimmer of hope that Bryce is alive, no matter the odds. The thought that their wonderful, vibrant, beloved young man is deceased--well, without proof positive, who would want to "go" there.

As referenced, recent "Find Bryce Laspisa" Facebook posting state there is just a handful of volunteers signing up for this weekend's Klasskid's sponsored search of the Castaic Lake area. Hopefully they can get a good cadre because a similarly sponsored search resulted in the finding of Linnea Lomax close to where she went missing after about two months. I think it is important to make this final push, since Occam's Razor would dictate that the young man is somewhere close to where the vehicle accident occurred.

I agree! And, in keeping with that thought ...

@Amanda: According to a post on the FB page, not many have signed up for the search with the Klaas group this weekend.

Perhaps your group which is planning on going to Buttonwillow should reconsider and join the Klaas led search? JMO.

I’m sure you’ll do what you feel is best. Whatever you decide, thanks for your efforts to help find BL.

if that is the case, they should be able to log and see his activity.
I can log in and see up to the minute with sprint.

I think that probably with so many people believing the Bryce hiding not wanting to be found theory which I don't believe at all. People have stopped volunteering. He depended too much on his parents at this point in his life and I don't believe him to be that mean, cruel and hateful as to not send some sign or signal somehow someway that he is OK and to not worry.

A few pages of posts back Dragracerz stated that AT&T had not returned the results and he was clearly upset about it asking if the person on this thread who worked for AT&T could manage to escalate it.

If he is out there somewhere... whether he is dazed, confused or not....he must be drinking fresh WATER and eating from some place....

Flyers and word of mouth is what is left at this stage to try and find Bryce....

Have they tried putting fliers in with Take Away Food deliveries...Pizza,Chinese etc?
What about all the hospitals from Castaic to Laguna?

We human beings look at situations with stigma blinkers on sometimes and I respect BL's family for not answering to his state of mind questions....through fear of even the words 'psychotic' ...'schizophrenic' ...people would turn the away from looking for him, sorry to say......whereas we have proof of an accident and a very real head trauma may have happened.....It must be so very difficult for Bryces family to go through every possible scenario......and still .....nothing.
And the endless wait for results from LE and the phone company.....

They can and they have. Mom stated in the John and Ken interview that she checked the online phone records and there wasn't any information to indicate where Bryce was.

Per Dragracerz (IIRC) they are waiting on AT&T to supply them with the actual text of the text messages sent and received as well as the location of where the phone pinged when it received each message (not sure if they can gather the information on pings for text messages or just for incoming/outgoing calls.)

OK so you guys are not going to make fun of me for this!

I recently lost my cat and did tons of research on how to find him. Apparently they go into survival mode and forget everything until they go under 10% of there original body weight.

Anyway a lot of people said that they return to last place they were before they went into survival mode at night to look for food.

So I rigged up cameras all over my balcony and what do you know? Every night he was lurking onto the balcony looking for food without anyone knowing.

I know they say humans can go into survival mode, I wonder if it would be worth looking into if castaic will either daily check cameras or allow us to rig a similar system (mine has night vision) and see if after the injury he went into a similar survival mode. He's by so much fresh water that he certainly could survive out there off water and scraps from the picnic areas.

I know this sounds completely bizarre but I figured I'd put it out there and face the side eyes.
