The issue is though, if Bryce wants to remain missing, most likely he's done something to change his red hair.

The comments under this article are interesting.
Do you mean the comments about another person whose name starts with "M"? The original comments by M which I think are now gone were looked into by Bryce's family. Not sure how much I can say, but this M person claimed she knew exactly what happened to Bryce. It was posted on the find Bryce facebook page that the family had looked into it and there was nothing to it.

I really have to disagree....12 kids with red hair in a 3 block radius is RARE unless they all belong to the same mother. I am a natural red head, not one of my kids have red hair. There was one other red haired girl in my class of 700 in hs and she does not have red haired children. Red hair is RARE...they may very well be dyed. I'm sorry I LOOK for kindred spirits (red heads) EVERYWHERE I go, always have....in FLORIDA, they are like a unicorn. (true red heads....not all the women who are wanna be's)

now, I expected to log in here tonight with much more info....any word from the uncle? did he stop posting?

I do not believe Bryce has a head injury. He is gone on his own accord or he is deceased. I don't believe there is wiggle room for anything else.

I don't have red hair but my sister, mom's sister, dad's brother and my son do (naturally) so I also have noticed redheads my whole life where most others would not. I think California has a much larger number of natural red haired people, or at least in Southern California, because we truly have a lot in the area that I live in (and they aren't all from the same mom.:eek::eek:) as well as the area I grew up in. I guess we are just lucky as I am definitely partial to redheads!

My point was that they are not SO rare that any homeless looking young man on the west coast with red hair should be reported as Bryce.

I absolutely agree with you that Bryce has either gone off on his own or is deceased. I have a hard time believing anything else is likely.

interesting to me. if said people KNOW Bryce, why are they not on WS but can comment on hews articles...?

well in FL they are few and far between. I haven't seen an adult male red head between Sarasota. Tampa. Lakeland in a long time. and I'm talking shockingly/red, red , red. Bryce has VERY VERY distintive hair along with pale skin.

and I am not being argumentative. I am just trying to give my red haired perspective. not that I would think he would end up here (FL), but I have been looking and telling everyone I know.
by all public accounts, he seems like a sweet boy, maybe a bit coddled too much, but who can blame parents? I do it to my 3. BRYCEEEEEEE, where are you buddy??

Wow, I hadn't read those comments and I didn't suspect their content either.
Strange. Still, don't know how that reason would explain why he crashed/disappeared versus following through on talking to his parents. Doesn't make much sense. Why tell your mom you want/need to talk in the first place then?
It might lead to a clue to his emotional state if we knew more about his breakup though. What I mean is why did he say he was going to break up with his gf, for what reason? If she did something wrong (betrayed him), he may have felt he had no choice but still felt very down/hurt. I'm suggesting "IF". I haven't a clue as to the truth of the matter.

it is on their top post now

All post above are just my opinions only.

Sorry. I re-read my post and it was confusing. There is a known redheaded homeless young man that lives around the Corona and Norco areas (which are within a few miles of Ontario.) He has lived in this area, off and on, for well over a year. I commented underneath the post on the Find Bryce FB page asking for people to search in Ontario, letting them know about the young man. My comment was deleted by an admin of the Find Bryce FB page. I am pretty certain now that the man I commented about was the man the woman reported as possibly being Bryce (the same man who was reported in Norco as Bryce over a month ago.)

snipped by me...

The comments for the most part still remain under guest name. A terrible way to air information but I hope the family & LE are looking at San Diego. I've said it before and this just reminds me of another reason why... regardless of the reasons why BL would possibly travel there.

No real new information from today and the search...makes for a heavy heart. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. And anxious to hear from Amanda about Buttonwillow today!

He will be found!! :moo:

I have a redheaded daughter AND live in SoCal. You may be onto something! ;) I also notice them quite often.

Local news (KCAL9) ran a story on the search for Bryce tonight. I have nothing helpful to add other than I'm still thinking of him daily and happy to see some continued media exposure on his case.

Hadn't heard of these before but it most definitely explains a gathering I ran across a few years ago. I called it a festival but I really had no idea what it was. I didn't go into the main area, just saw people walking and biking to/from, but I felt like I'd been transported into the 1960's.

From what I've read about Bryce it doesn't seem like his kind of "thing," - I just don't envision him going from excited about a new Madden football video game to a peace and love fest in the forest, BUT, you never know. It's certainly worth looking into any possibilities IMO.

ETA: I'm glad your BIL is doing so much better and no longer wandering homeless. Sorry I forgot that in my original post. :)

There's usually a method to my madness (or reasons why I end up making other peeps mad). I've read some rumors, in the comments on FB, that struck a chord with me because of my own experiences in one area being rumored (illness). Whatever I offer is for the purpose of consideration. Never that I know or think this is most likely what's going on or what's happened.
If people know something anybody says isn't true beyond a doubt they should offer up a reason why it isn't or couldn't be true.
Everybody has slants as to why they think a certain way depending on influences on their own lives.
Just living longer provides more experiences and realizing what everyone wants to believe is true isn't always the case.

There's no good excuse for staging one's own disappearance but, at least, if that's what BL has done, it offers hope he's alive.
The odds that he's been wandering around for this amount of time due to a head injury, simply isn't logical imo. Why? Because he wouldn't be hiding and someone would have spotted him by now.
He's either hiding or he's physically gone imo. Therefore, making up or thinking of reasons he may be hiding keeps hope alive even if the reasons sound awful. :twocents:

I have seen the rainbow gatherings mentioned in many of the missing threads here... particularly when they start to go cold people will pull out the idea of the rainbow gatherings.

While it is certainly possible that some of our missing have made their way to some of these rainbow gatherings, I don't personally feel that it is likely for Bryce.

But that's JMO and I appreciate all ideas!

Well? What are you waiting for? Make the move to Southern California already. We need you in our club. :genie:

Really? I'd never heard of them before or, if I did, didn't pay much attention.
The gatherings are real though and if you're someone who is hanging around with nowhere else to go, there's a chance you may be invited to one. That's the only reason I mentioned the gatherings as told to me by my bil.
I just thought it was so strange that he brought that specific subject up because I wasn't asking him about anything regarding his life back then, until he referred to when he felt and lived as a homeless person. When we're trying to reconcile past issues, sometimes they're brought up out of the blue. The timing just seemed strange to me as I've had BL on my mind and know he has to be somewhere and that could be anywhere.

How lOng was your friend missing for?

Super smart and super cool!

They are tagging trees for pruning. If a loose branch falls on a park visitor, the county has to pay.

I provided at least a dozen links about people with a form of amnesia suddenly forget who they are, assume a new identity and then have the string compulsion to wander long distances. It is called disassociative fugue and appears to be a mental issue precipitated by extreme stress, rather than a neurological one, although apparently, a minor head injury can be involved.

So it is possible that Bryce is out there suffering from amnesia.

I know a bit about head injuries. My brother was attacked by thugs one night who tried to rob him. He was drunk and a crazy punk rocker, so he tried to fight ( his knuckles told the story) and got his head bashed in with a weapon. He had severe memory loss for awhile, forgetting his roommate and thinking his roommate was an old friend from a decade before.

But, like he expert discussed, he was very debilitated. He could hardly hold a spoon or cup and couldn't walk straight for weeks. I had to help him in the bath. He couldn't take a shower. Poor baby.

But there is another form of amnesia not related to such head injuries.

He was missing I believe around 2 1/2 months before he made contact through fb

Also San Diego has crossed my mind too (as rumored in some comments). That's probably because I wouldn't mind being there.

Dragracerz told us his name describes what he does.
This is very, very farfetched and not positive.
A human skull was found in Will County Illinois last week under a bridge near the Chicago Speedway
(the skull is possibly very old and hasn't been id'd).

Last week, I missed the detail about the location the skull was found being near the Chicago Speedway.
Is there any chance BL may have tried to hitchhike or get a ride from a trucker or someone back to Illinois to attend the races?
There are many kinds of races and race organizations but if his uncle ever raced in Illinois, BL may have really missed attending his events.
That on top of missing his old friends in Illinois.
What if a bad guy picked him up?

Me too. If I were homeless and had a choice that's where I'd go... JMO.

I have suspected foul play as a possibility all along. After all this is CA. Bad things happen to people all the time. I had even brought up this scenario and LE should check out the local sex offenders that live close to the lake. IIRC their are around 12 they are listed on the CA Megan's Law registered sex offender website along with their names and offenses. Just put in the zip code for Castaic. LE says nothing points to foul play well if he got a ride from a sex offender that hurt him or has him captive somewhere what signs would there be anyway especially if they took him off somewhere and buried him in a shallow grave. I will not rule out this possibility.
