Why is it you think Piru and Pyramid need searched? They are many miles away.

I just happens upon comparisons on camping/outdoor sites where people were comparing to Castaic Lake to Piru & Pyramid, and it made them sound relatively close. Seemed if someone was familiar with the area (and something happened to Bryce) and didn't want to leave Bryce too near his car, they might know about the other lakes and think no one would look there. Crazy idea, I know.

ETA: I honestly think he's most likely still in/near Lake Castaic, just trying to think of other possibilities.

I believe he committed suicide or went on the run alone. I do not think he met with foul play anymore.

interesting quote from the article:
“They would love the opportunity to rebuild the relationship.”

  • #944
“What has been a problem from the start with this is that there have been a lot of agencies involved, and a lot of good-hearted people,” said Shannon Tulloss, a private investigator. “It has been a blessing to the Laspisa family -- unfortunately, it has resulted in a lot of misinformation,” she said.

What is that supposed to mean, the volunteers and agencies trying to help the family are a "problem" and what misinformation, there has been none released for the most part aside from the facts mentioned in the article.

New local article about private investigator searching for Bryce:

http://hometownstation.com/santa-cl...ired-find-bryce-laspisa-still-searching-39680

Thank you for posting the above link. I read this article earlier today and found the following statements very interesting (BBM):

...a private investigator hired by his family believes he’s still out there, based on her ongoing investigation.

“Given his physical conditioning, he absolutely had the ability to leave the scene.”

Officials are no longer searching, she said, having deemed Laspisa “a willfully missing adult.”

“They would love the opportunity to rebuild the relationship.”

Bryce's Mom and Dad went to Illinois over Christmas according to Moms FB page. I find it odd they didn't spend Xmas in Laguna Hills in their home in case Bryce showed up or tried to get in touch with them there where they live. Hmmm that seems strange to me.

Happy New Years Everyone!!!

That's surprising, unless they have reason to believe he might be back in Illinois?

The police who arrived on the scene of the crashed vehicle, the LE investigators assigned to the case, the family and the private investigator all believe he is willfully missing. Since the only information we have is what the family has released or allowed to be released I suppose I should believe there is a real, tangible reason why everyone with more information than I believes Bryce is alive and doesn't want to make contact with his family. Sad.

After reading his Moms FB Page last night about leaving town over Christmas and no recent updates by the family on the Find Bryce Laspisa FB, nor any scheduled searches, Im beginning to believe there is a lot more to this story. I think I'm just going to take a break from this for awhile.

Bryce's uncle Dragracerz, kslyfoxy, and some of the verified insiders have left this thread so Im willing to believe they have some inside information they are keeping out of he public eye. I hope he is safe somewhere that would be great news.

Thank you for the link to that article, abugs. I found this sentence interesting:

"However, she’s hoping to appeal to Bryce or friends of his on different grounds."

That leaves the impression that friends have not been forthcoming, that it is believed some friends may know more than they are telling. Hmmmm.

I haven't been posting, but I still come and check for updates. Happy New Year to you all!

I am not sure it is a good idea to indicate he left on his own, unless they are sure. People don't have a lot of interest in looking out for those who took off. JMO

I too think he is alive, have not changed my thoughts, on anything, since the beginning.

There are ALWAYS sightings on missing person cases. Look how many false sightings of Caylee Anthony there were weekly?

I just take most of those with a grain of salt unless they actually lead to something significant which 9 out of 10 they don't. All they have to do is take a pic and post on FB. One girl did and sure enough the guy actually favored Bryce but sadly wasn't him.

For some reason I think it is more than the reported sightings, in So. Calif. that make the PI think he is still alive.

The website for the PI also states that they help with missing person's cases, as well as other things (including social media searches) and have won awards, etc. so I personally wouldn't be too quick to discount them. (Though I originally had the same initial thought when I saw her web page.) Just my two cents.

Here is another article:

http://www.signalscv.com/m/section/36/article/111678/

"Our belief is that he left the accident and immediately took flight,” she said. “We have reason to believe Bryce is still alive.”

I definitely think it is safe to assume that they have information that we don't that indicates Bryce is still alive.

Does anyone know if an adult would be classified as endangered missing if they are suffering from a mental disorder and is purposely hiding from their family? Or would they be considered willfully missing?

I suspect it is for the same reason that I assume Tim Miller hasn't been out to assist in this case, because Nancy Grace and the others don't have an interest in cases in which an adult is purposely staying hidden from their family. It has appeared from early on that LE has always believed Bryce is purposely in hiding. Many of us thought, because we believed it when Bryce's family stated he would never hide from his family, that there must be more to this story. Apparently, the family doesn't believe the above to be true any longer. I no longer feel this is just an angle the family is exploring but now feel there must be something (information from friends, something in his computer, contact that was made, etc.) that makes them (and LE) confident that he is out there alive somewhere not wanting to be found.

"Sightings" real or not, would be expected in CA, as that is where his disappearance is most known. But it does not make them real. JMO

  • #959
Usually when things die down in a missing person case and LE has put it on the back burner, a PI coming on to help a family is seen as a way to keep the search alive.

I see the PI working this case as being a positive factor. If it's shown that the PI is not actually working the case then I may feel that she's taking advantage of this case for publicity purposes. Even if she is only making a token effort I don't see how it would harm things. Something is better than nothing in my book.

I wish her luck in finding him.

I get the impression from her website that she is the owner and has other individuals working for her. I do not know their qualifications or hers but it appears as though she is speaking for the family and the family now believes that Bryce is hiding out somewhere. Where? With what means and what money? I don't know. I hope, if Bryce's family has had a change of opinion and now believes that Bryce is in hiding somewhere, it is because this PI has given them some solid information as to why they should believe this now. It could be that she is stringing them along however that would be a pretty risky thing to do to get her name out there if there was a real possibility that she could end up being way off base. I think it would be naive for us to believe that, just because they haven't told us that there is more information that we don't know about the circumstances surrounding Bryce's disappearance, we know everything there is to know about his disappearance.

All of the above is just my opinion. I love reading all of the different opinions of everyone on this thread, especially those very different from my own. I am also glad to see some movement again on this thread, in the media and from the PI and/or family. It gives me hope.
