Wilson's Mother Says She's Organizing A Search For Her Daughter Based On New Leads

Wilson’s mother says this Saturday she's organizing a search based on new leads about where her daughter's body might be.

"Even if it's bone by bone to bring her back home, our family needs to know where she's at."

Debbie Boyd says meet at the Thunder Valley Casino employee parking lot Saturday at 9 o'clock if you want to help.

"We had two different psychics tell us that she had been placed into a creek bed. Both picked the same creek bed. Both picked the same location," said Wilson's step-father Pat Boyd, a detective with the San Jose Police Department. "It seemed like good information."

But after nearly five hours of looking Saturday, crews covering both sides of the location found nothing tied to Wilson, Boyd said.

I hope they find her too. I don't put to much stock in what pshchics have to say but it can't hurt to go look around. I'm sure that the family is desperate to find Christy and will try just about anything. I can't say that I blame them. I know I would do the same thing.

If I were going to contact a psychic I would contact Noreen Rainnor or Reenor...something like that. I don't know the spelling of her last name. Jackie Peterson got ahold of her and she said Scott murdered Laci and said how he did it. Jackie didn't like that answer of course. I watched Noreen on Psychic Detectives...I think it was...the other night and LE talked to her 3 different times and she was finally able to give them enough clues to find the man they were looking for. I would never pay for information though. But she has made the most sense of anyone that I have watched.

I watched that show the other night too, Bobbisangel! The show before that one had a Nancy Myers, as the pyschic detective... she was good too! I believe her last name is Reiner, but don't take my word for it! Yes, I remember when JO2 hired her, and then denied it, but Noreen had a copy of her check, which I remember seeing in the NE!! LOL!

Yes, I too would "listen" to pyschics if MY daughter was missing! No harm in looking again.... especially if TWO of them said about the same thing - the "same" creek! Ya never know!! :waitasec:

I found this:

The civil case against Garcia is scheduled to be heard at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 14 in Dept. 3 of Placer County Superior Court.

Garcia's criminal trial is scheduled to begin June 19 in a Sacramento courtroom.

http://www.auburnjournal.com/articles/2006/04/25/news/top_stories/04boyd_25.prt

We know that the criminal trial has been delayed until next month so I would suspect that the civil trial will be put off also. Although if the civil trial were to go ahead then I think anything learned in that would be allowed in the criminal trial. Don't know for sure just thinking out loud.

We haven't heard anything about the civil trial going ahead. They really don't like to have the Civil trial before the criminal trial because it can compromise the criminal trial.

I'm going to get torn up for saying this but I'm going to go ahead anyway.
I don't think it is right that there is a civil suit filed against the killer and his wife. I feel that way because it involves the wife. She isn't responsible for what her husband did. If he is put away for years or even for life that woman won't have anything to live on. I felt the same way when the victims of Dennis Rader sued for the proceeds from his house. His wife is a victim too. I think she worked at some little job but I just think it is unfair when the wives are inclueded in a civil suit when they are as much victims as the victims.

Bobbisangel; Sometimes families feel they have to do something to force the LE to move. So they file a civil lawsuit. In Christies case I think it is more to force Garcias wife to tell what happened since she won't tell LE. IMO mom3dd

I wonder if the wife knows anything? She would at least know the time that he got home that night. Well, if she won't cooperate with LE then I feel different about the civil suit. Go for it.

I still think it wrong in the case of Dennis Rader. I felt so bad for his wife and children. Can you imagine the shock of finding out the life your husband had been leading for years and you didn't know. I would be so horrified that I had been sharing my bed and breakfast table with a serial killer. I didn't hear anything negative about Rader's wife except that she didn't have a clue. I know that she filed for a quicky divorce and it was granted and she didn't attend any of his court stuff. I've always wondered if he wasn't an abusive husband because he was such a control freak. I hope she doesn't lose everything including her home or the money from it.

Nothing in the news but from the forum at this link jury selection is to begin tomorrow. Trial is still slated for 9/25 and the family can be in the courtroom for all unless they are to testify then they can observe after their testimony.

The remains found 9/3 off Hwy 20 in Nevada county are not those of Christie.

Garcia, who is accused of killing 27-year-old Christie Wilson, was not in court this morning.

Prospective jurors are filling out questionnaires today, and Placer County Judge Larry Gaddis will talk to jurors about hardship requests for dismissal. It's expected attorneys will question jurors next week.

Eleven months have passed since Christie Wilson was first reported missing, and now all her parents want is closure.

"We just want our daughter's remains to be recovered and for the suspect to be convicted," said Wilson's mother Debbie Boyd.

~snip~

"We can't disclose any of the evidence police have," Boyd said. "But based on what we are aware of, we know that she has passed."

Now all they want is closure in order to give their daughter a proper burial. "That's the problem now," Boyd said. "Our hope has gotten less about finding her. That's the impossibility for the family. When do you say goodbye or when do you bury somebody?

This is tragic for the family. The scum will be convicted. Why won't they help with this? Tragedy upon tragedy.

I believe that Garcia probably is guilty, but I sure as hell hope the DA has something more than what we have seen in the media. A couple of hairs and a video of MG & CW walking toward his car I do not believe will convict him. They must have more (but we said the same thing about John Karr).

Authorities said Friday that they have not conclusively identified human remains found in a remote area of Nevada County.

A skull and mandible, found around 3 p.m. Sept. 3 off Highway 20, are believed to be that of an Asian female about 30 years of age or older.

A couple from the Bay Area who were hiking in the area found the bleached skull with hair attached and a detached mandible.

"At this point we don't know who it belongs to," Keith Royal, Nevada County Sheriff said Friday. "We have some teeth and will check dental records and (conduct) DNA analysis."

Murder defendant Mario Garcia will take the stand in his defense during his trial, his attorney, Ron Peters, told prospective jurors this morning.

The announcement came as attorneys began selecting a jury for the trial.

The judge and attorneys in the Mario Garcia case began questioning prospective jurors this morning. By day's end, 17 prospective jurors had been dismissed for hardship or for cause. The defense attorney and prosecutor dismissed another seven on pre-emptive causes, in which a reason for the dismissal does not have to be stated. Each side has 20 pre-emptive causes.

Jury selection resumes Tuesday morning at 9.

Guess they didn't go ahead with jury selection last week...explains why I couldn't find any updates.

I didn't know that they had started already. I sure was hoping that LE would find her body before the trial. They must have more then we are aware of to go ahead and charge him and go to trial. I sure hope so anyway.
