I hope that with all this new technology we can eradicate crimes like this, but we have such a long way to go.
Curious why they won't discuss where the information came from - and did they get a cause of death I wonder?Placer Sheriff: Murder victim Christie Wilson’s remains found after 15 years
Placer County investigators say they found Wilson’s body on a 4.5-acre piece of land Garcia owned at the time of Wilson’s death. That Auburn property was searched in 2005 with cadaver dogs but nothing was found.
This time around, they used ground-penetrating radar.
However, investigators admitted they got a tip that gave them a better idea of where exactly to search. They have been vague with those details.
“We’re not going to be discussing where that information came at this time,” Lt. Scott said.

I just watched it. So glad that there was some resolution in this case for her family, and that his family no longer supported him. So much for his lie to the camera that "we don't even know if she's dead". I think he punched her at his car to knock her out and get her into it. Now he's gotten his dead sentence- probably Covid.Debbie Boyd spent an agonizing 15 years wondering where convicted killer Mario Garcia hid the body of her murdered daughter Christie Wilson.
"Was she in an ocean? Was she in a ditch?" asked Boyd. "And for 15 years, I never went to bed without wondering 'where is she? Where did Mario Garcia put her?'"
"We wanted to find her to show Mario, you're not going to win, you're not winning this," said investigator Don Murchison. "We're going to find her and bring her home to the family."
Through sheer will and wit, and the help of two determined investigators, Boyd finally got her answer.

An the part about him speeding the car in the drink in Oakland with those women..what a bogus story..didn't even sound like he tried to save them.
Thank goodness for the strength and goodness of his poor son, having to live with that. He did a good job. Hopefully he can breathe easier now. That had to be hard. They said in the 48 hours story that his sons suggested that he was digging on their property.
