Hemeted man hanging out of the Huey, looks like they might be landing or rapelling down. Will update

Touching down, no rapelling.

COming out in shooting position. Coming out in very aggressive stance, sniper style. WOW. Looks like 6 officers, and setting up a seriously intense stance. Are going down to the car that's burning. Looks like SWAT group. Insertion is complete. Heli has gone up. Looks like 4 officers (I counted 6, but may be incorrect).

Bear Mountain ski resort is closed down, all people to stay indoors/in rooms.

Officers slightly relaxing. Putting on backpacks and starting to hike down towards the vehicle which is/was burning. Also must be aware of explosives, as Dorner is trained in explosives.

Media saying a badge belonging to him was found at Lindberg (sp) field earlier. Wouldn't he have had to turn in his badge when he was fired? Maybe it was some sort of military badge/id. Supposedly he was just discharged from the Navy Reserves on the 1st of Feb....

He might have had to turn it in. Doesn't mean he did it.

How very easy for us to say. Did you see what the suspect wrote in his manifesto about anyone apprehending him in a traffic stop? These policemen are likely terrified.

Yes, but they supposedly have training.

And no, I haven't read the manifesto yet, altho I intend to. I already know enuf about the danger of this person, based on the murders of the fiancees and the cop. I already gave them roses but here again :rose: :rose: :rose:. Also, I acknowledged the injured, all the families and friends.

I don't find any of that to be in conflict with finding possible fault with the shootings by LE of the female newspaper people.

Yeah, I get what you're saying but I don't think it would fly when you are fired and you are told to turn in your badge and you just say...what, I don't know "I can't turn it in. I lost it." It's kind of an important thing to turn back in. Makes me think it 1.) wasn't his real PD badge (since he got fired years ago) and it was faked to throw people off or 2.) It was some sort of military ID that he still had since he didn't get discharged until the 1st of this month. JMO

The young lady, who was killed, is the daughter of a man who represented the suspect for his hearing with LAPD. Apparently the suspect doesn't think this man did a good job. So the young lady was allegedly killed in revenge.

Apprently/allegedly it's cuz she is the daughter of the LE person on the review board for his case. I'm sorry that I don't recall the exact terms...one source said her father was a union representative?

Because the young woman was the daughter of former LAPD captain Randal Quan, who represented Dorner in his Board of Rights hearing, unsuccessfully, leading to Dorner's firing. (Quan, incidentally, is the first Chinese-American to serve as a captain in LAPD.) In his manifesto Dorner indicated that he would go after the children of those he felt had done him wrong.
