Maybe its just me, but I don't think his appearance is that unusual. He looks just like my water delivery guy. And, a half dozen other men I see around the area (thankfully, far from CA). To stand out around here he'd have to been at least 6 inches taller and 300 lbs plus. MOO

But he must have a way out so if we don't hear about a missing vehicle and/or missing people (and their cars), pretty soon, then it is likely he is holed up in a cabin up there.

Has anyone checked the impound lots?
Has anyone checked on any vehicles at the cabins, which may not have full time residents?
Has anyone checked on the residents of the cabins?

Do we know he didn't buy another car with a different name?

Why would he plan this to this extent, blow up his truck and then just get himself cornered?

I'm not convinced he intended to actually steal the boat.
I kinda think he wanted people to think he was going to steal it to go to Mexico.
I think the evidence he's leaving behind he intended to leave behind, to leave a trail that they couldn't follow to anywhere.

I also think he KNEW about the storm in advance and is using it to his advantage.
Make the cops search up there while he's not even there to begin with.

He had plenty of time to get out of there before the weather got bad... he had several hours of a head start before they even found his truck.

He has the element of surprise... I think he'll continue to use it. :twocents:

Honestly, as bad as it sounds... I think they should only send cops who look nothing like him, to knock on doors. :waitasec:

If I lived there... I would be paranoid. So if a white dude in a uniform knocked I'd be cool with that.
But if a big black cop knocked on my door I would second guess myself repeatedly.

Especially if the reports about the area being predominantly white and this guy not fitting in are true.

When cops found the tracks going away from the burned out truck, it was said that he appeared to be dragging something. I bet he was dragging a motorcycle. He could have dragged it to a back road and been off of the mountain before his truck went up in flames. It is said that it was rigged with a timer. The only reason to do that would be if you wanted a head start.

And if he was going to stay in BB, why would he set fire to his truck, which only brought attention to it? He could have found a building or abandoned cabin and hidden it in a garage.

I think he is long gone from BB. And I think he is lurking somewhere close to where he wants his Grand Finale to happen. Like at the Police Building or the funeral of his victims or even the Grammy's/

Unless he has a medical condition associated with the development of delusions, he fits the criteria for Delusional Disorder, subtypes grandiose and persecutory. Will he live long enough for anyone to make this diagnosis? Likely not.

Yes, yes, yes! I understand and agree 150%!!! Where I live is the very same, and an innocent cop might just get shot just knocking on a door. People ARE scared, paranoid. I understand why its important to knock on doors...i'm just not sure that it is smart to send out black officers. Makes me sad to even type that
