Just to clarify...someone not seeing something does not mean it didn't happen. The hotel employees did not stand and watch the entire incident take place iirc.

I think the boat-stealing and truck-burning are false trails he layed for police to keep them busy while he is really somewhere far away by now. Since he has said he is targeting the families of those he thinks wronged him, I hope they are also protecting family members who live in other places than LA, who may be much more vulnerable right now without the massive police presence that is going on in LA.

In his manifesto he is going back to when was six. There could be targets that are not even listed in the manifesto.

Do tell me, what difference does it really make? Do you think Mr. Dorner should get his job back? I mean, seriously?

PSA

Lets keep the main focus of this thread on the manhunt. While the accidental shootings are worthy of discussion lets hold off on the intense analysis until the current urgent situation has passed.

Please do not start any additional threads at this time.

Thanks.

I have never read that, katydid! I did read what the victim's father said-

Dorner said that in the course of an arrest, Evans kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

Richard Gettler, the schizophrenic man's father, gave testimony that supported Dorner's claim.

After his son was returned on July 28, 2007, Richard Gettler asked 'if he had been in a fight because his face was puffy' and his son responded that he was kicked twice in the chest by a police officer.

I don't understand why the dad would lie? -I think it should all be revisited, might not help this situation, but it might prevent another one.

The father might have been mistaken. He never witnessed it. His schizophrenic son told him about it later, after NOT saying it to the medics or the judge. And there was no physical evidence that it ever happened and none of the witnesses saw it happen. So why would the board believe this new recruit, who only said this weeks later, the day after he received a bad write up review?

Plenty of rookies try and throw their training officers under the bus. Especially if they get bad reviews. And I think his current actions are a better indication of the truth, imo.

Has this training officer gone on in her career to batter suspects? To KILL innocent people? I think the evidence shows who was lying here, imo.

Just to clarify...someone not seeing something does not mean it didn't happen. The hotel employees did not stand and watch the entire incident take place iirc.

But if the witnesses never saw it happen, and it was just his word against his training officxer, why would he hold the LAPD responsible for his firing? Surely he understands that there has to be valid reasons and some kind of evidence to overturn the firing?

The homeless man never said he was kicked that night during the initial interviews. The witnesses from the hotel said they didnt see it happen. the medics said there was no evidence of a kick in the face or chest. And he himnself lied in all of the initial reports.

So how is he wronged by the courts decision? He was delusional then and he is delusional now.

I can't really add much right now. But I will offer one tiny bit of advice, If anyone here has a son or daughter that is planning on becoming a P.O. they would be wise to find a different department than los angeles. a common saying among other law enforcement agency's is (they eat their young). All of the people that I have spoken to from the different agency's have all said they believe everything he wrote. They of course do not condone what he is doing at all. But they believe he is telling the truth in the manifest. And that he is by no means the first to have had his life destroyed by crossing that line, that blue line, it does exist.

Been following this from afar but wanted to share that I got an email from my BFF tonight. She works for LAPD in background checks( a retired LB LEO for 26yrs). Anywho one of her co workers was named in the manifesto and their office has been heavily guarded to say the least. Her words, "guns are everywhere!". I asked her about whats being said around the water cooler I'll let you know if it's something she can share.

I'm sure you all have this link but I'll post it anyway.

But why would he make it up. Okay so maybe he was mad at her or something, but i don't think he would have fought for 2 years to clear his name if he didn't believe he was right. I do believe him, i think he is cold blooded murderer now..and he killed someone i knew, but i think the lapd needs to be overhauled big time...they need to be held accountable for their actions also.

the homeless man is schizophrenic. His father remembers, however, and that link was posted earlier in the thread.

His father wasn't a witness. What is that he remembers, since he didn't see anything?

Apparently the huge LASD "Twin Towers" county jail complex is on lockdown due to an 'unconfirmed report' that someone resembling Dorner was spotted in the area.
losangeles.cbslocal.com/2013/02/08/twin-towers-jail-facility-on-lockdown/

This is becoming absurd. It reminds me of he hysteria following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 and the Beltway Snipers in 2002.

Excuse me for a minute guys ... I think I have to go make sure Dorner is not hiding under my bed :what:

Yeah... it reminds me of when I was watching for "The British are coming! ...The British are coming!..." :bud:

Maybe he wanted to discredit her.

He made a complaint against the sgt. who was training him only after she told him she was going to give him an unsatisfactory review.

"On Aug. 4, 2007, Evans warned Dorner that she would give him an unsatisfactory rating and request that he be removed from the field unless he improved."

My son is in backgrounds right now with LACS and LAPD. LAPD is not his first choice, but it is really hard to get into any academy in California right now because of the financial cutbacks. They just now postponed a couple of the upcoming academy dates for the Sheriffs, and thousands of applicants are vying for the remaining 25 to 30 openings. There is a lot of pressure on the young applicants these days. My heart goes out to them all.

Another Big Bear presser. 200 more homes to check. Snowing hard. Ground crews will be off mountain at dark.

I agree. He isn't sitting still. I think he has whatever he is going to do-planned out.
