I agree. He isn't sitting still. I think he has whatever he is going to do-planned out.
Actually, I read somewhere this morning ( don't ask me for a link), that there was going to be some sort of LE conference in the Bear Mountain area, which is where he burned the truck, so I think he's planning more there...:twocents:

I realize that. That doesn't make him a liar, does it?

I don't think the father is lying. But I have a younger brother who is a paranoid schizophrenic, like this man's son, and I know that they do not always make the best witnesses. JMO

Could he be telling the truth, sure he can but do I think that what happened with LAPD is the cause of all this not really. He talked about the female cop kicking the guy, jumped to the racial slur incident/him putting his hands one someone( saying he should have put a bullet in their heads), to his childhood again putting his hands on someone then back the kicking incident etc he jumps around a lot as if he is trying to find things to complain about. He claims he is not a bully yet here we are him bullying those that had nothing to do with LAPD decisions. There are many things in his manifesto that he damns others for doing it yet he is doing it himself right now.

He showed signs back when he was a child that he had no clue how to control his anger so its kind of hard to say why he was let go. He could have been let go b/c of telling on the female officer or it could have been his obvious unstable personality. He is just as corrupt as the officers he is trying to tell on.

I do not think he is planning more in BB, but I think it might be in San bernardino county. So, he's been in OC, RC, SBC, SDC so far. He's assaulted people in those counties with the acception of SBC, that we know of.

agree.....he had issues long before his firing. The firing just brought it all to a head...though I have yet to find a reason why he snapped now vs 2009.

My son is in backgrounds right now with LACS and LAPD. LAPD is not his first choice, but it is really hard to get into any academy in California right now because of the financial cutbacks. They just now postponed a couple of the upcoming academy dates for the Sheriffs, and thousands of applicants are vying for the remaining 25 to 30 openings. There is a lot of pressure on the young applicants these days. My heart goes out to them all.

Is it hard to get into Ventura County sheriffs right now. I would guess it's probably harder in Ventura. I do hope your son does well. I just don't like the things i am hearing, and would hesitate.

Supposedly he just got discharged from the Navy. I think that was the trigger.

Yup, really hard. That was his first choice. But there are thousands of applicants for every opening and they had a moratorium on hirings for awhile.

JVM had this Navy Seal sniper on her show tonight:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/1616085800

He said....
- Dorner is not a sniper as he is being described. Yes, he can operate weapons, but he is not able to kill people from a significant distance.
-He trained on this mountain when he was 20 and it kicked his butt. He doesn't think Dorner (a large and heavy man) would manage the mountain's terrain well.
-He also said Dorner's lungs would not be accustomed to the altitude and this would be similar to Dorner trying to operate on the mountain with one lung.

For these reasons, he thinks Dorner isn't anywhere near the mountain and is "bunkered up" in a house somewhere.

For all of you that think he's left Big Bear, go visit the scanner thread. You'll see why I think he holed up in a cabin there. There are several Group Camps in the area that wouldn't be occupied.

I have been sending all of my good thoughts to him..I pray that if that really is his hearts desire that he gets the job. I graduate in December, and hope to get a partime job and continue on with school. Still waiting for the right job to find me...I have had a few offers, just not sure I want to live here forever :(

I think he wrote he was fired from LAPD a few weeks ago, and then recently he got discharged from Navy. The trigger is likely multiple events culminating to a head.

Were the bellhop and hotel employee lying when they said they never saw the training officer kick the homeless man?

I was sexually assaulted by a police officer and you wouldn't believe how they close ranks when one of their own could be in trouble.

Not saying it happened in this case, but my report of the crime was not taken, I was threatened at police headquarters AND I received a series of visits at my home from other officers to let me know I shouldn't pursue the matter because if I did it would be very bad for me.

So I didn't.

I'm fine today, but there is no police officer on earth I trust. I have a very low opinion of ALL police since that day--they're scumbags and I won't deal with them on any level. That's what one bad one will do.

So in my mind, it's certainly possible these people were told to say they saw nothing.

In his manifesto, Christopher Dorner had some kind words to say about James Gavin:

"Look what you did to Sgt. Gavin (now lieutenant) when he exposed the truth of your lying, racism, and PSB cover-ups to frame and convict an innocent man. You can not police yourselves and the consent decree was unsuccessful. Sgt. Gavin, I met you on the range several times as a recruit and as an officer. You’re a good man and I saw it in your eyes an actions."

Some might remember the 48 Hours show on Bruce Lisker and the role that James Gavin played in his case.

Or, even better is a Los Angeles Times article from May 2005:

New Light on a Distant Verdict
The evidence seemed overwhelming 20 years ago when Bruce Lisker was convicted
of killing his mother in a fit of rage. Was justice served?

By Scott Glover and Matt Lait
Times Staff Writers
May 22, 2005

"On a drizzly day in March, Phillip Rabichow stood outside a beige ranch house in Sherman Oaks with a tape measure in his hand and an anxious look on his face.

Twenty-two years earlier, almost to the day, a woman named Dorka Lisker had been killed in that house. Her 17-year-old son, Bruce, was charged with the murder. He had a drug problem and a history of fighting with his mother."

+

"Lisker's complaint landed on the desk of Sgt. Jim Gavin, a barrel-chested Irishman with a ruddy complexion and thinning reddish hair. He was skeptical at first. But he was not the sort to ignore a complaint, even one from a prisoner."

+

"During the Rampart corruption scandal, when many officers' recollections were conveniently hazy, Gavin came forward with information suggesting that a colleague was lying about a shooting. As a peer mentor for the LAPD, he has taught leadership skills to junior officers.

Gavin, 39, read the transcript of Lisker's trial and listened to Monsue's taped interviews with Bruce and with Ryan. He spent hours poring over documents compiled by Lisker's defense team. He twice went to Mule Creek Prison to interview Lisker."

Much, much more, a nice long article...

Well, if you aren't familiar with the story you will just have to read the whole thing to find out what happened. Enjoy it!!!

Well then neither of us are very objective.

I was raped by my uncle for years, and I distrust everyone's uncles. Seriously, I do. So I understand how you feel.
