I don't think it is him. I just saw a quick shot of it on KABC Breaking News.

They showed a couple of LAPD cars and then a dozen or so uniformed officers just milling around, seemingly unconcerned, standing and talking to each other, as if there was no danger at all. So I bet it didn't pan out.

It was him. Why are you doubting it?
As a doubting thomas...

Because, they thought the news paper women were him, and unloaded at the very least, 46 rounds into a truck containing two innocent victims. ( link ).

Because nearby homes and cars were also riddled with bullets, ( link ).

Because, just a few blocks away, they rammed and shot at another truck, after the driver had complied when they ordered him to turn around ( link ).

Because eye witness testimony, is faulty, at best and quite wrong, at worst, to include seeing the enemy around every corner, under every rock, and behind every tree. ( link )

Another situation that comes up is the double identification effect. Basically, this happens when an eyewitness had actually seen the suspect prior to, or maybe after the event, and then mistakenly thinks the suspect was at the event as well.

Because, in the face of a traumatic event, and esp in this case where people were already on high alert, they can easily misidentify, as evidenced by the aforementioned example. And next thing you know, it becomes carved in gold fact, as evidenced by the riverside example, when in reality, it could be completely wrong. ( link )

Dorothy Canady said she would never forget the man who shot a retired New York City police officer, but at trial she identified Juror No. 6 as the assailant. Another witness to the crime said the attacker was a black man with braids, yet he picked an Hispanic man with short hair out of a photo lineup.

And finally, because the shooting of the two officers does not fit with the rest of dorner's behavior.

For these reasons, as a doubting thomas, I raise the question, can we be a hundred percent certain he was, in fact, the individual who shot the riverside officers, murdering one?

Based on San berdo sighting this morning this could be another false alarm. But they have surrounded the mall in northridge
Waiting for them to go back to live coverage.
Let's hope they don't shoot up the mall.

Seriously? If so, they obviously do not know how rewards work. Moreover, way to make the situation more dangerous. *sighs*

It would also explain why he wants his brain examined after death too.
That and he likely believes his brain is superior in some way.

I love the way you think!! Another reason not to post a million dollar reward. Just sayin'

After awhile everyone will look like Dorner-then what?

Maybe he didn't kill that young couple either. I wonder if he was set up by the mean bigwigs in the LAPD.

The only thing about a TBI in this instance, he seems to be holding on to grudges from a LONG time ago - elementary school as I recall - that's not just a psychotic break is it?
His delusions of grandeur (giving Michele Obama advice and etc..) and his perception that everyone was against him (delusions of persecution) are his psychotic symptoms. (Maybe many people were against him?)

He states in his manifesto that he is depressed and as the saying goes "depression is anger turned inward". Holding on to grudges is holding on to anger. Perhaps his grudge is part of his delusions of persecution?

Hopefully most are joking

Police have not turned up anything at the mall.

Speaking of those drones. I've been wondering if it was one of them that set his truck on fire. I can't think of a good reason why he'd have torched his truck himself.

He explicitly states, and I quote ( link )

I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I’m terminating yours. Quan, Anderson, Evans, and BOR members

Which indicates an extremely high probability, that he is, in fact, the individual who murdered Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence.
