I saw several men in Walmart this weekend who looked very much like him. I wonder how many men have been stopped and searched just because they resemble him? I hope not many,

^^I feel bad for anyone who even remotely resembles CD in CA right now.

I don't think he'll make a move at the Grammy's. While it is a big stage, it would definitely be a losing situation for him. He isn't done yet and I think that he only sees two options, which is an apology from the LAPD or him taking out as many of them as he can. I think he'll do it one at a time so that he has a better chance of getting away so that he can continue on his quest. This is definitely a very interesting situation from a psychological perspective.

This may be a re run of San berdo. I think the lapse in coverage is the stations scrambling to get there. But the original report was from a heli so?
I agree. I grew up hanging out at Northridge Mall. It's a good 21/2 hours away from Big Bear. I think this is another false sighting of a black man. I still think Dorner is holed up in Big Bear, don't think he got off the mountain before the storm, and I think he's stuck there (maybe by choice). He could be another Eric Rudolph!:twocents:

Another case where there are no winners. IF they find that Dorner shouldn't have been fired, he is still a murderer. All he can possibly gain from this is that his name is cleared. Maybe that is all he wants. (and the attention of course)..

I am almost positive he never thought he would have so many side with him. Very scary.

^^That is all he wants. He mentioned it several times in his manifesto, that a man is nothing without his name. And I disagree, I think he expected everyone to side with him. For some reason he thinks that he is really important.

This whole thing is so scary. I feel awful for the people who live in the area. Stay safe! Hope he's caught soon.

BREAKING: #LAPD officials say they've had 3 or 4 more reports of POSSIBLE #Dorner sightings w/in the hour, including one at a Wal-Mart.

Seems like everybody ends up at Walmart sooner or later.

I hope everyone keeps their eyes open and only calls in GOOD tips. LE is tired and stressed to the MAX-these "sightings" are goin to add to it..:(

Yeah, LAPD is gonna have a tough time living this one down.

Btw, here is a more detailed account of the guy who was shot at, shortly after the news carrier shooting ( link )

Perdue left his Redondo Beach home and was driving through Torrance to the beach for some early morning surfing on Thursday when he was stopped. Officers guarding the home of a law enforcement official targeted by Dorner questioned him because his Honda Ridgeline pickup truck resembled the vehicle investigators believed Dorner was driving.

Seconds after he drove away, Perdue's truck was broadsided by a Torrance police car at the corner of Flagler Land and Beryl Street, said his attorney Robert Sheahen.

"These lunatics broadsided the side of his truck, spun him around and started shooting at him," Sheahen said. "Now they're attempting to say they couldn't tell if the guy they were shooting at was a white guy or a black guy because David's airbag went off."

I fear there will be many false reports, some intentionally filed.... a new form of "Swatting". I feel for the cops and the anxiety they are under and hope no one else is hurt as a result of these false sightings and calls

I am praying there isn't anyone else hurt, but I have a BAD BAD BAD feeling that there will be many hurt if not killed because of the reward money. Lets face it-how many of us could use a million dollars ...*sighs*

just heard something interesting on local K-CAL news about the Lowes sighting. I will paraphrase what reporter said. Apparently a customer saw someone who looked like Dorner parking his vehicle --i think a white station wagon---and heading into Lowes. So they emptied the Lowes and that person never came out. So they searched the Lowes with
K-9's and they watched the surveillance videos--and still no Dorner. By then they had run the car registration and found a picture of the owner, who did resemble Dorner. So the look-alike CALLED LE and said that he works nearby the Lowes. BUT HE DOESN'T WANT TO COME OUT AND SPEAK TO THEM. He says he has had bad experiences with LE and does not want to come to pick up his car right now and meet with them. So now what do they do ? Also, he doesn't want to tell them where he works.

Oh yeah....VERY expensive mistakes for the tax payers of LA:what:!

I suppose they can check his registration and see if he who he says he is. I don't blame him for not coming to pick his car (assuming of course he is who he says he is).

Or maybe someone will catch Dorner and get rich.

OMGosh how scary...(if i wanted to be a smart arse -i would say call Charlie Sheen)-but I REALLY feel sorry for him. I can totally understand his fear. Truth be told. If I was a male black man, i wouldnt be out in public-period.
(so painful to type)

Thanks button wasn't enough.

Now, WHY would it end like that? Any thoughts, anyone?

My thought... Possibly he ran over the allotted figure amount on the engine he was using!

His manifesto was 11,000 words...(Reported)... So maybe he hit the maximum!

:dunno:
