I think they are using pinned down as the area he is in, no where to go..... I mean he can't out run them on foot.

Police needs better weapons training or something. I don't understand why they can't shoot their target.
They could be trying to go above and beyond the call of duty to take him alive. If only to try to mitigate him becoming a martyr to some (please not the operative term, some).

That's my point.
Many were worried he'd just kill anyone he came in contact with... and he isn't doing that.
Only the cops. I think that is an important detail as far as his "thought process."

Only the cops? All is well and good then. Nothing to worry about.

I don't think this guy that was talking on ABC has a clue as to what he is talking about, its all mashed together.

Considering he appears to be shooting and hitting them, that would be insane.

Sounds like it IS just a matter of time now.

you have no idea the situation. he may have been behind cover where it was impossible to shoot or they were unaware of his exact location at that time. I'll save the criticism of people trying to keep us safe.

Yet, if he held them hostage for days and didn't kill them... that again seems to verify he doesn't want to kill innocent people. Weird.

I wouldn't say that. Brian Nicholes killed several innocent people and then held a woman hostage for days without harming her (he was originally arrested for severely beating and raping his girlfriend).

He may want someone to sympathize with him and "tell his story" so he treated them well. I wouldn't assume that means he isn't a sociopath.

Jumpy officers guarding one of his targets in Torrance on Thursday shot and injured two women delivering newspapers because they mistook their pickup truck for Dorner's.

He has achieved his objective. He has paralyzed a huge metropolitan jurisdiction.

I wish he would realize this and just stand down. :(

"Pinned down" definition: He's not running anymore, he's trapped up somewhere." CNN
I'm gonna guess he's in that cabin with the smoke near it. JMO
