On Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 12:22 p.m, deputies working the Big Bear area search for Christopher Dorner responded to the 1200 block of Club View Dr. for a reported stolen vehicle. The reporting party said the suspect took their vehicle and described the suspect as looking very similar to Dorner. Deputies immediately began a search on the ground and from the air for the vehicle.

The vehicle was located at Hwy. 38 and Glass Rd. The suspect fled into the forest and barricaded himself inside a cabin. A short time later there was an exchange of gunfire between law enforcement and the suspect. Sheriff's SWAT is onscene.

Two law enforcement officers are being airlifted to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

You seriously think it would somehow make a difference to Dorner? He was already accused of 3 murders prior to this one.

I don't know if it would make a difference, none of us do.
I thought it might not be worth the risk to confirm an officer was dead.

He could be excited by the fact that he killed another one and want to kill as many as possible.
Or he could be starting to think about giving up and decide not to when he realizes he killed another one.

I have no clue.
I thought it best to LIMIT the information he's given. Just trying to think of officer safety. :twocents:

He had some earlier, but does NOT right now in the cabin he is in.

I know a lot of folks feel like he's a "suicide by cop" guy, but would he really allow the police that "victory" of killing him?

I thought he'd do it himself--master of his own ship and all that.

He was recently discharged by the Navy because he was passed over twice for promotion (rule is 2 passovers and out).
