Whatever, if it's a standoff or was and he's contained and surrounded, it doesn't matter what happened earlier today does it.

Since it's still an active scene, she owes the media no answers.

And that's fine, but I don't think they should get in front of the camera if all they can say is I don't know. MOO.

Not when you are under that amount of stress it's not!

It is a BARE BONES rental cabin, one of 7 bare bones cheap rental cabins in a cluster all owned by the same folks.

I am sure the owners have insurance. It isn't a personal thing for them.

But yes I agree if it was a personal home I would be darned peeved too if the police burned it to the ground just to get their fugitive.

Really it's not. I've skied up there with a t shirt on. The sun comes up and it gets warm fairly quickly. They have snow machines on the slopes and it stays cold enough between sun up and sun set to keep snow on the ground but it's nothing really compared to Colorado for instance.

I wouldn't be worried about my cabin. I would be hoping that no LE or firefighters were killed.

They will probably get their money back in spades from all of his ' fans' wanting to sleep there next year. I'm sure they're not worried about it ;)

Holy sheesh a neighbor (next to the cabin where Dorner was holed up) said it was only 300 yards from the burned out truck! How is it possible they wouldn't check the cabins CLOSEST to the truck!
yepper. original truck burned in 2000 block of Club View Dr. truck stolen in 1200 block of Club View Dr

Not with the big bonfire they've got going on lol

SO if his truck broke the other day with all that ammo in it, how did he get all this ammo into this cabin in so short a time WHILE cops are all over the area, UNLESS he had help from someone else? There must be another someone somewhere helping him.

In re: short sleeves...

It's Southern California-cold, not anywhere-that-understands-cold-cold. LOL. It's weird, but we can have several feet of snow up there, and still spend the day in jeans and a tee shirt. I've skied there in short sleeve shirts, and, even after falling, as long as I didn't stand in the shade for too long in a wet shirt/jeans, I was just fine.

It's hard to explain what Southern California cold is to folks who know what "real" cold is. This is not it. I've been colder skydiving than I have been skiing.

I've been outside the state when it *is* cold - New York, Maine, Connecticut, Colorado, Washington, and even parts of Oregon. That is "real" cold. SoCa is kinda like "cold-lite". We pretend it's cold, and for those who don't know what real cold is it feels cold, but it's really not.

Seems the tension is winding down and they think he is dead/burned to smitherines.

Will probably take a full day or more to identify the bones (if they have dental records handy).

Whoa...I went out for a few hours and look what I missed! I hope this brings an end to it all.

If a sniper got him how did the fire start? A sniper would likely confirm a kill, so why burn the place down and cause a long wait?
