Has anyone considered the possibility that the second photo (the one in the classroom) is from the mid 2010s? I remember those thick glasses being popular then, and had a few friends who were very into film photography (though that may just be my personal friend group).

In that pic, girl with glasses, is wearing a white sweatshirt with yellow or gold writing..maybe an emblem. If we can figure out what it says..or what the image is of, that could help with a time period the sweatshirt came out in.

It looks like someone earlier in the thread was able to make out the text on the sweater. It reads: "Thrasher Flame".

IF im looking at the right Company, Thrasher clothing has been around since 1981, originated in San Francisco , and is considered Skateboarding apparel. Anyone else familiar with Thrasher Flames..and can anyone make out anything more on the sweatshirt?

I was sure it had been shared up thread but I couldn't find the comment, but I'm pretty sure it's a great match. I wish I could give the credit where it's due, because it was great sleuthing but not not me! Eta: this looks like the hoodie, but it's probably a mad produced logo used by different companies. I'm wondering if the girl in the photo is the granddaughter of the couple in the photo? Forgive me if this was surmised before. In regard to the photo with the woman in the plaid shirt, it's possible she was wearing that as chola style. Tartan, flannel and Pendleton shirts were very popular in Southern California from the 1970's on. Not that it helps much, but when I saw the photo I remembered how many younger Hispanic people would wear them.

Bringing this one forward. Bolded the thrasher hoodie info, and there's some more info, excellent sleuthing if I say so myself!

In the one photo, a female appears to be wearing a neck gaiter, and Thrasher Flame hoodie (as stated by other commenters on another website) in class, both of which were popular during the pandemic (2021-2022), and so I spent a little time trying to find the location where the photo may have been taken, when I discovered Davis Middle School in Compton, CA. Both classrooms share similarities: features, colors, and layout. The door in the unknown photo seems to have a different door closer (or just orientation), and has a vision panel, or something attached or in front of the door but I suspect one of their classrooms will be a perfect match.

With this information, I've contacted Davis Middle School, and the Coroner Investigator. Hopefully this case will be resolved soon.
