So potentially we might be looking at the man in the first photo? The dad?

(Assuming, of course, that the people in the photos are all related, and one of them is the decedent—which I know are very big assumptions to make!)

Or..if the pic is from the 70s (first one)..the baby she was carrying would be 45 plus today...could it be him?
Any chance the first photo is from the '90s instead, like @JamesRUstlerIV suggested?

When I first saw it, I immediately thought '70s too. But I remember women having bangs like that somewhere in the mid '90s.

If the girl in the second photo is the daughter of the couple in the first photo, and she was a high school or college student during the pandemic, this means she would've been born in the late '90s to early '00s, fitting the timeline.

Maybe if we can figure out the logo on the girls (second pic) sweatshirt, we can figure out the time frame that the pic was taken. The first pic (females outfit) anyone have an idea when that red plaid print would have been popular in?

The instant photo looks to be Fujifilm Instax format which came out in 1998. It is certainly not Polaroid SX-70, 600, or Spectra integrated film as those would be way too large to fit into a wallet.
Yeah, the wallet size is what stands out to me and makes it seem like they have to be relatively recent. Anything before that would be a cheesy Olan Mills posed type photo. I also had those bangs in the late 90's fwiw.

In the one photo, a female appears to be wearing a neck gaiter, and Thrasher Flame hoodie (as stated by other commenters on another website) in class, both of which were popular during the pandemic (2021-2022), and so I spent a little time trying to find the location where the photo may have been taken, when I discovered Davis Middle School in Compton, CA. Both classrooms share similarities: features, colors, and layout. The door in the unknown photo seems to have a different door closer (or just orientation), and has a vision panel, or something attached or in front of the door but I suspect one of their classrooms will be a perfect match.

With this information, I've contacted Davis Middle School, and the Coroner Investigator. Hopefully this case will be resolved soon.

Wow this is amazing!! Great attention to detail and just laying it all out for us to see the comparisons!

Regarding the door closer, is it possible it looks differently oriented simply because the door is opened? The doors in Davis Middle School appear to open outwards, shifting the door closer from the left to the right, which is where it appears to be in the unknown photo.

The EXIT sign, while having the same red background and white (or clear?) lettering, also appears to be taller in the DMS photo than in the unknown. But this could be due to photo quality, lighting, camera angle when taking the picture, or maybe the sign was replaced during this time?

Overall, though, this is outstanding work, and thank you so much for taking the initiative to reach out not only to local law enforcement, but also to the school you found!

Regarding the girl in the plaid shirt, I'm not sure if this detail is significant or not, but it looks like she is wearing a men's shirt, due to the button placement. I'm sure it doesn't mean anything in particular but it is something that stood out to me.
The type of plaid pattern appears to be a Tartan plaid or Royal Stewart plaid pattern. As for the time period it may have been popular, I'm not sure. I know the 90s saw a lot of flannel plaid with grunge being popular. However, I feel like plaid has just always kind of been around no matter the time period though.
If I'm being honest, I'm getting more of a 70s vibe from the photo. I don't know if it is the tinting of it or what but it feels reminiscent of photos I've seen from then.

How did you possibly find this??

How did you possibly find this??
I began searching for photos of high schools in Compton, CA that had classroom photos. I learned that it's difficult to find photos of classrooms. Most photos were outside, the gymnasium, or a room/area that wasn't a classroom. I would search google images, facebook, youtube (I'd watch videos too), instagram, tiktok, etc. When I found classroom photos, none of them matched, so then I began searching middle schools, and eventually found those photos on facebook. I spent hours to tell you the truth.

I'm really impressed! Well worth the effort.

Your work here is just amazing. I would definitely think that this Middle School would DEFINITELY be able to identify the person in the photo. But, they would probably be asked to stay very silent.
But someone from that area and going to that school would be able to put all this together.

I know everyone is thinking of the mask for covid times. When I first saw the photo, I actually thought some chemistry lab work with those big glasses and the heavy mask....
Also, i keep "seeing" some animal legs rather than letters on her sweatshirt.

One little point... someone has remarked on the buttons being a man's plaid shirt. Well, IF this is a pregnant woman / girl, she could very likely be borrowing mens' shirts! We all did that! And plaid.... never goes out of style...wearing us just....winter.
