Janelle Monroy is now in the courtroom waiting for a jury question to be hashed out in the Luis Bracamontes cop killer trial.
Monroy jury wants to know if they should consider whether she acted under duress for each count. Jury has filed in.
Judge tells Monroy jury to consider duress for each count. Monroy atty Pete Kmeto contends she lived in fear of husband Luis Bracamontes and was under duress when two cops were killed. Kmeto contends they can’t hold her responsible if she was under duress.
Now the Bracamontes jury is being brought in for a question on jury instructions.
#Bracamontes jury is in courtroom wanting answer about count 13, which refers to use of assault rifle and 9 mm pistol. Judge Steve White tells them it’s a typo, that pistol shouldn’t be part of that count.
#Bracamontes faces 15 counts, so if jury is on count 13 they may be vlose to decision.
Verdict coming. Sounds like it is on Bracamontes.
Suddenly there are 14 deputies in the courtroom ss they prepare for verdicts to be read later. Usually we have 4-5.
