Rihanna to Cops: Chris Brown Threatened to Kill Me

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Earlier today, the Los Angeles District Attorney asked police detectives to dig up more evidence for their case against Chris Brown.

The police are getting cooperation from Rihanna, and what she has told them so far is chilling.

A source close to the investigation tells E! News exclusively that Rihanna has alleged to police that Brown choked her while threatening to kill her and, subsequently, she lost consciousness.

They began squabbling after leaving Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party late Saturday. Shortly after midnight, things blew up. Brown pulled his silver Lambourghini to the side of a street in L.A.'s Hancock Park neighborhood.

That's when, per the source, Rihanna grabbed the car keys and tossed them out the window, sending Brown into a rage.

He tried in vain to find the keys, then came back to the car, put his hands around her neck and, according to the insider, said, "I'm going to kill you!"

The 20-year-old "Disturbia" singer told police that she lost consciousness, the source says, and when she awoke, Brown had fled.

According to the source, her right eye was blackened and badly swollen and she had hand prints on her arms. The responding officers were so concerned about her, they drove Rihanna to the hospital in their squad car instead of waiting for an ambulance.

isnt choking someone unconscious considered attempted murder?

maybe it is being reported wrong, and she lost consciousness due to a strike to the head.

either way the guy is obviously a punk and dangerous, and still nothing will happen to him.

FWIW, JayZ and and a few other biggies are like surrogate dad's to Rihanna and are extremely protective of her. IIRC, JayZ discovered her. How this affects Chris' career remains to be seen. I wouldn't want to piss that crew off though. The last I heard Rihanna also had bite marks.

Personally I think who her "people" are, is already affecting his career... I don't think I have ever seen sponsors drop a celebrity in trouble so quickly, in what almost seems like a mass exodus. JayZ is extremely influential in the music world, with his influence falling over into the sponsorship world that surrounds the music industry... being as Rihanna came to be under JayZ's guidance and watchful eye, I can bet you he immediately started taking action to make this kid pay up for what he did to the poor girl... first hit: using his influence to make sure CB's sponsors dropped the kid from their bankroll. Of which: I am glad to see the sponsors leaving him in the dust... for once a celebrity isn't getting the "lets wait and see" treatment, for their horrible actions.

This kid had a lot going for him... he's an idiot for doing what he did and he deserves every single backlashing he is receiving and will end up receiving.

Chris better watch his back. The support for her is very endearing. It must be bad for her to cancel engagements. I am not a fan of hers but she seems well grounded and an all around good girl.

Oh how I wish she had beat him down with her umbrella ella ella!

You know what really gets me about this situation? Alot of people (celebs mostly but some fans too) I have seen interviewed on tv about this says something like "my thoughts and prayers are with Chris and Rihanna" or "I know Chris and Rihanna and they are both talented wonderful people and I hope this situation works itself out". I saw David Spade on TMZ being asked about it by paparrazzi and he said basically the same thing and then added 'it's a touchy subject.' No pun intended right?
Things to that effect - like they are BOTH victims or something. HE BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HER! and I no one seems to be holding him accountable for it. If someone listened to this stuff without knowing the situation behind it they would think they were both in a car accident or something.
It shouldn't be a touchy subject, we all know basically what happened and no matter what happened leading up the beating she did not deserve what she go and people seem to want to avoid the obvious - he assaulted his girlfriend.
I know there are some like Jay-z who are being outspoken in support of Rihanna. I am just referring to the many celebs I have seen on tv who have been asked about it and say something very PC and diplomatic about it. It really irks me.

"Domestic Dispute" my 🤬🤬🤬 - more like "ASSAULT"

Holy cow I looked at her picture. I agree with you gaia227 that is assault. No he's not a victim whatsoever.

He needs to do time for doing that to her. I don't think that will happen, he makes too much money for too many people and those people will do whatever they have to do to keep their paycheck.

I say give her Daddy 10 minutes with him, if he's anything like my Husband...Chris will come out of that room minus a few teeth. You would see me at the jailhouse with my checkbook to post bail for Big Daddy with a smile on my face.

And the LAPD is pissed.

I do not get men hitting women. I have never even had to control myself to stop it - I have just plain never even considered it. Never. Ever. What kind of a "man" would strike a female unless his life was truly in danger? We're supposed to protect & care for them. Makes me ill. Throw that SOB in a dumpster, who needs him.

Yup-I am sure the LAPD is pissed...sucks that it was leaked...but you can bet it was only a matter of time before either the hospital or the LAPD let it out.

Here is my two cents-the DA is still waffling on charges. There is every chance that Chris Brown would be offered misdemeanor battery of some kind. It ain't right-I can tell that looking at the photo. AND the photo does not detail the BITE marks on her arms and hands. Those marks on her forehead-they look like abrasions from his thumbs...say picture a tight grip on her head while facing her and slamming her face into something...knee, steering wheel, door handle...just speculating.

I thought long and hard about posting it because I believe in her right to her privacy-but I think she has to represent those who have been beaten by their partners. She is lucky she lived-the rage that caused him to do it might have caused him to end her life. She screamed and fought-God bless her.

No wonder that she canceled her concerts.

With the beat-down he put on her, and went as far as threatening her life: to me that screams felony charges. If California does not charge this as a felony, not only would they fail Rihanna, but also other battered women that look to the court to hold their abusers responsible. A slap on the wrist in the form of a misdemeanor charge ends up putting the person back on the streets to harm again.

OH MY DEAR GOD!

I just looked at the photograph! :furious::furious::furious:

I am glad it was leaked it will put pressure on the DA to charge him and not allow him to plea this down to some ridiclous charge! That "man" needs to spend a long while in prison!

I heard a snippet on the news (sorry no link) that they may be getting back together. That they had been talking.

Anyone else hear that?

There were a number of rumors that she left the hospital and joined him at a hotel after wards. I would think that any documentation of that would be headlines due to the nature of the charges Brown might be facing.

I suspect there is a whisper campaign going on-jmo. She would not be the first to go back to a batterer, BUT there are many in her life who would STRONGLY caution against that (Cough, JayZ, cough-cough...).

That picture made me nauseous. That poor girl.

Chris Brown is a monster. His career is OVER. He needs serious help in the anger management department.

A full investigation is being started as to who released those photos. It is a felony and some one is in deep doo doo.

hey i know its been FOREVER since i posted ... i have two jobs and work alll the time, so don't log on too often ...

but ...

im personally very upset that TMZ posted that photo. it's a complete invasion of Rihanna's privacy. and im not saying that as a fan -- im saying that as someone who's been abused before.

and how did they get that photo?

looks like the LAPD is investigating ... GOOD.

Wouldn't it have had to be someone in the LAPD or someone that worked in the hospital? I would think they would be the only people that had access. I heard one of the reporters from TMZ say last night that the picture didn't come from anyone in the LAPD (but I'm sure they would protect their source).
