Finally, we know who we're looking for and it's a couple! Check out the video of the car following Eliza and her mother. OMG, what awful human beings these people must be.

"According to police, on the afternoon of the shooting, Eliza and her mother exited a bus at Del Amo and Long Beach boulevards at 4:15 p.m. As they were walking home, a black SUV pulled up alongside. The driver asked about the victim’s baby, and after a brief exchange, the victim walked home."

"Sometime before 5:50 p.m. that evening, a man forced his way into the home, shot the three adults and kidnapped the baby. The adults all survived."

Now that $25,000 reward may entice someone to come forward to catch these two willing to shoot people to kidnap a baby. Baby Eliza did not survive.

"The suspected shooter was described as a dark-skinned Hispanic or African American man."

I wonder if LE thought they would be able to find them without releasing sketches. It's been so long!

I'm hopeful someone will recognize the Range Rover and come forward quickly.

I am totally baffled as to why LE delayed releasing the sketches, video and the fact that there were two perps. I totally do not understand what the reasoning could be.

I KNEW IT. Someone wanted the baby. I feel awful for the father the way everyone suspected him and criticized him for not being mortally wounded.

Some questions are running through my mind.

-Where were the mother and baby before they got on that bus?
-Did this couple just drive around looking for someone with a baby?
-Was there someone on the bus, a 3rd person, looking for babies and notified the couple?
-Why didn't they just grab the baby when they talked to the mother on the street?
-Were their plans to sell the baby or keep her?
-What happened to cause Baby Eliza to die?
-Is this couple based out of Long Beach? Why did they head towards San Diego, Imperial Beach, or the border?

Please catch these two! What they did is terrible. Three people were shot and Baby Eliza died.

Could it be because the mother and uncle were wounded bad enough in the face they weren't able to talk? Possibly now one or both are able to speak and able to give descriptions of the suspects. The father may not have seen the gunman. MOO.

According to family friends, the gunman shot the mother and uncle each in the face and the father in the leg.

Hope the mother and uncle can recover from their injuries without being disfigured for life. Really, these two wanted suspects don't seem like professional baby kidnappers. They go all out to shoot people, then they can't keep the baby alive. It seems so unorganized and bizarre. They must've been crazy desperate to get their hands on a baby for some reason.

:gaah: Help me understand what was their bad plan.

I imagine Eliza's mother had the most information in describing the suspects because she talked to them when she got off the bus. I'm guessing she saw more of the woman driver beforehand because of the brief conversation, and probably just the male shooter entered the home while the woman waited in the getaway car. Wonder how far away the getaway car was parked, or did no one notice him running down the street with a baby?

I really hope this new information helps find these monsters. I hope the sketches and videos are released nationwide. This case needs more attention!

How did the perps know where Eliza lived? After they stopped & talked to her mom did they follow her home? Did her mom give the perps their address or directions to their house? Did she know them? Why did she talk to them?

They were seen on surveillance cam following her in black SUV I believe. Just long enough to see which house she went into.

She was walking home with the baby, after getting off the bus. It is quite normal for someone to stop and say OH WHAT A SWEET BABY when walking around town. I have done that myself. Maybe she was standing on the corner waiting for the light, or something like that, and the strangers said something and she replied. That is normal everyday interactions, imo.

If they were meth or crack users, that might explain their messed up plan.

So after they stopped & talked to her (which would freak me the heck out) she walked home w/them following? She didn't try to lose them? Go into a store until they were gone?

This isn't normal to me, at all.

That's why I wonder if mom knew them. Or something that made her let her guard down.

Or I'm just paranoid and distrustful.

:bump: Snipped to bump the suspects photos. Wondering if they tried to sell the car. Hope investigators are looking into all the car ads for a dark 2006-2011 Range Rover. Somebody might be able to connect this couple with the car. There's still hope to solve this case.

I think the suspects were just looking for someone with a baby and there was one getting on the bus with her mother. But why storm into the house, shoot three people, take the baby, and then not keep the baby alive?

This case is already fading from the news. :please: Please don't forget Baby Eliza and her family needing some Justice.

Long Beach police release suspect sketches in Eliza De La Cruz case

"Cox said the victims are a hardworking, working class family without any history of criminal or drug-related activity that may have led to an obvious motive."

“This was something they planned to do, but why this family?” Cox said.

“This is something we haven’t figured out,” he added. “The family has no clue.”

Sounds like baby was the motive? Sounds like somebody wanted the baby and followed the mother. But then why the baby was found dead a short time later?

I don't think mother had any idea she was followed. She got on the bus. Car was following the bus.

LE is saying its due to mother and uncle being physically injured and not able to talk.

I think the motive was kidnapping of the baby.
If we knew how baby died, it would be easier to figure out why these perps kidnapped the baby.
Did they want to sell the baby? Raise the baby as their own child? Hispanic baby could be passed as African-American.
Do something horrible to the baby?
If they kidnapped the baby because they wanted to do something horrible to the baby, that cold explain why baby was found dead.
If they kidnapped the baby because they wanted to sell the baby or raise the baby, they could have become spooked by the press and decided to kill the baby? Or the baby died because they didn't know how to care for the baby? I don't find it likely that the baby died on its own, because the baby was found dead a very short time afterwards.
