GUILTY CA - Eliza Delacruz, 3 wks, Long Beach, 4 Jan 2015

I don't see why his name shouldn't be released either. There is no special protection for "married boyfriends" of accused killers, as far as I can tell.

Because at this point, he has not been shown to be involved in any way other than moral wrongdoing (cheating on his wife). What would releasing his name do to further the case. LE knows his name, has his contact information, and has correspondence between her and him.

It would help my "curiosity killed the cat", but IMHO I don't think it is pertinent for the public to know.

What would it accomplish? We would know who he is. Press isn't obligated to keep the name of a "cheating husband" from the public.

If he's not involved in Eliza's kidnapping and murder, IDGAF who he is. I'm focused on justice for her, not anyone's cheating spouse.

It says three people to be arraigned today, not four. I'm guessing D'Milian's daughter didn't play as much of a part in the violence and kidnapping, but wonder what the story is on that. Glad to see they might get a very high $5 million bail amount set for the main two suspects. I wanted to see them appear in court. Hope there's news video of that later.

Suspects in baby Eliza De La Cruz’s kidnapping, murder to be arraigned
http://www.presstelegram.com/genera...de-la-cruzs-kidnapping-murder-to-be-arraigned

"Prosecutors will ask that bail be set at $5 million each for D’Milian and McCall and $1 million for Boudreaux, according to a statement from the Los Angeles District’s Attorney’s Office."

Three of them are facing life in prison, but one has a lower bail. The daughter hasn't been charged yet.
To be continued on April 30, 2015.

UPDATE | The arraignment of the three suspects charged in the murder and kidnapping of Eliza De La Cruz has been rescheduled to April 30.

No pleas were heard at the scheduled arraignment before Judge Laura Laesecke Friday afternoon.

The bail for Giselangelique Rene D'Milian has been set at $5 million, while the bail for her accomplices, Anthony Ray McCall and Todd Damon Boudreaux have been set at $5 million and $1 million, respectively.

All three face life in prison if they are convicted on the charges filed Friday, the statement said.

Prosecutors did not indicate if charges would be filed against D'Milian's daughter, Charisse Shelton, who was also arrested on suspicion of allegedly assisting in the scheme after the fact.

OMG! No wonder the police kept the parents and uncle under wraps like they did after the crime! What a twisted crazy crime! How does LE turn their mind upside down and all-around to catch people who think like this?? I admire LE so much. We can power off, but cops then have to go home and have a "normal" life.

She does sound delusional in her narcissism. Do you think that may help her get a mental defense when this goes to trial? For now, I hope they increase her bail amount or not give her a chance to be out on bail. Nothing would stop her from some new dangerous scheme. Whether delusional or not, she's the one who directed the violence, shooting, and killing. She reminds me of Charlie Manson.

She sounds bipolar with psychotic features. When these folks are manic, watch out, the damage is real and profound.

It's all bad.

Plan on a mental defense. She probably got spanked when she was a kid or some $##t .

I respectfully disagree. This is organic and untreated. Many bipolar patients don't like to take meds, especially when they are manic.

Out of respect for his wife I think they should withhold his name. It's bad enough that her husband cheated but having the whole world know that he cheated with level of crazy would be incredibly humiliating.

But if he would be a witness at trial, how could his name be kept quiet?

Just looking at some of these websites she created and is featured on is ticking me off. She definitely does seem like a narcissist who is a liar and probably does have a mental condition as well. Just by the way she describes herself on these sites you can tell what kind of person she really is.

"Her loyalty is genuine and real, her heart is true and she never forgets the good deed of others as well as any deed one may do to cause her pain and strife for nothing."

"Therefore, after completing undergraduate degrees in Social Sciences , Physics and Chemistry and a Master's degree in English Rhetoric/Composition; René attended Law School to help fight for justice in the murder of her daughter. After successfully gaining the closure she needed on that issue, René spent many years accepting why she was put in this terrible position in life and immediately started to share this horrific loss with women's groups around the world. Through pain, tears and agony, and from a place she calls "strict obedience", René would touch the souls of so many in over 46 countries!"

So apparently she had a murdered daughter???

"You can trust me with your hopes and dreams"

"She says that if she helped 1000 people only 10 or less has ever tried to do her wrong via causing danger, blackmail or theft but she still maintains that since the truth is always the truth even when no one believes it and a lie is still a lie even when everyone believes it, she will do what she does and keep smiling and moving forward in the game of life!"

I mean seriously- if you have a "business" website why is there so much talk about people who "do her wrong", blackmail, theft, etc.?

If you want to see/read what I am referring to on these poorly written website bios (English masters degree???):

If this woman has really even encountered as many people as she thinks she has reached, I hope some of them can be called in to testify against her character or any schemes they may have been a victim of. Anything that will help dig a deeper grave for her. This is truly despicable and she deserves everything she has coming to her in prison. To think this woman comes from the same county as I do is really scary. I am in a facebook group of mothers who live in my region; we swap stories, buy, sell, advise of weird/suspicious people knocking on doors, people who are parked on a street for too long, burglary attempts, and just share info in general - when I found out about the details of this story I immediately went into the group to make sure she was not in it. I felt like it would have been prime predatory grounds for her to lurk on mothers in this group as we are all in the same area. I am just in shock at the boldness of this crime, and even more so that she thought she could get away with it a second time! My head is hurting so badly now, but I am so happy there is justice for Eliza. I yearn for swift justice for the family of baby Eliza, and hope all that were involved in this senseless crime pay the maximum penalty.

Long Beach infant Eliza De La Cruz’s bizarre murder case in limbo — for now December

http://www.presstelegram.com/general-news/20151213/long-beach-infant-eliza-de-la-cruzs-bizarre-murder-case-in-limbo-x2014-for-now

Nearly a year after 3-week-old Eliza De La Cruz was kidnapped from her home in North Long Beach and found dead in a San Diego County trash bin, the murder case remains in the midst of back-and-forth legal proceedings.

The next court date, a pre-hearing conference, is set for Monday at the Gov. George Deukmejian Courthouse in Long Beach. Although the case has been mired in a kind of legal limbo since June, J. Tooson — an attorney for Todd Boudreaux, one of the defendants — said he expects the case to move forward more quickly after Monday.

“We’re just letting the judicial system run its course,” Tooson said. “It’s not unusual for [cases like this] to go on for two or even three years.”

Baby Eliza of Long Beach was likely dead before being put in dumpster, examiner testifies

http://www.presstelegram.com/general-news/20161020/baby-eliza-of-long-beach-was-likely-dead-before-being-put-in-dumpster-examiner-testifies

A 3-week old baby kidnapped from her Long Beach home and found dead in San Diego County 18 months ago likely was killed before being placed inside the trash bin, a medical examiner said Thursday on the first day of a court hearing to determine if there is enough evidence against three defendants to hold them for trial.

Eliza De La Cruz, who became known in the highly publicized case as Baby Eliza, likely died of asphyxiation, Steven Campman, deputy medical examiner for San Diego County, told a judge at the Long Beach Courthouse. Campman drew that conclusion due to evidence of hemorrhaging on the infant’s lungs, but he could not say whether someone choked, strangled or pressed their hands on the girl’s nose and mouth.

“I could not list that as accidental on a death certificate,” Campman said.

The preliminary hearing that began Thursday is expected to last up to a week. Another witness told the judge that he found Baby Eliza in an alley dumpster behind Big King Pizza in the area of W. 600 Palm Ave. in Imperial Beach. Harold Sherman said he discovered her body while collecting recyclables. Sherman said he initially thought he was looking at a doll.

“When I looked closer, I could tell it was actually a child,” he said.

Defendant pleads guilty in Baby Eliza plot, will testify against alleged co-conspirators

http://www.presstelegram.com/general-news/20161024/defendant-pleads-guilty-in-baby-eliza-plot-will-testify-against-alleged-co-conspirators

A man accused of participating in a plot to steal babies pleaded guilty Monday and agreed to testify against his two codefendants. The pair face charges they tried to abduct an infant from an El Segundo hotel and that they kidnapped a 3-week-old girl from a Long Beach home before leaving her dead in a trash bin last year.

Todd Boudreaux, of Fontana, was facing attempted murder and attempted kidnapping charges related to the El Segundo incident in February 2015.

But Monday, prosecutors dropped those charges and instead allowed Boudreaux to plead guilty to one count of accessory after the fact.

He’s expected to be sentenced to three years in prison on the condition he testifies truthfully in the case against D’Milian and McCall.

Since last week, Judge Judith L. Meyer has been listening to prosecutor Cynthia Barnes’ present her case against D’Milian, McCall and Boudreaux at a preliminary hearing.

At the hearing’s conclusion, Meyer will decide whether there is enough evidence to hold the defendants for a trial.

Boudreaux originally would have been included in that decision, but his guilty plea means he will instead take the stand Thursday.

After he testifies, Boudreaux will be released. If the trial proceeds, he’ll be expected to testify there as well.

:mad: So disgusted that this accessory to murder will only face three years in jail (likely half that time or less). Hopefully he'll get what he deserves while incarcerated. MOO.

Kidnapper told Baby Eliza, ‘I’m your new mommy,’ Long Beach mother testifies

http://www.presstelegram.com/general-news/20161025/kidnapper-told-baby-eliza-im-your-new-mommy-long-beach-mother-testifies

A Long Beach woman whose 3-week-old baby was kidnapped and killed last year testified Tuesday that one of the alleged abductors said “I’m your new mommy,” moments after the infant was ripped from her arms.

From the witness stand, Jackie Honorato occasionally paused to fight off tears as she described the evening of Jan. 3, 2015, when a man and woman armed with a gun allegedly stole her newborn baby girl, Eliza De La Cruz. “He came and he told me, ‘Give me the baby,’ and I said no,” Honorato said, indicating she was talking about one of the two defendants who sat at a table in front of her in shackles and an orange jail jumpsuit. “I said ‘please,’ and he shot me.”

Honorato, Eliza’s father and Eliza’s uncle all testified Tuesday at Long Beach’s Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse as part of a dayslong preliminary hearing where Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Judith L. Meyer is evaluating prosecutors’ case against Giseleangelique Rene D’Milian, 47, of Thousand Oaks, and Anthony McCall, 29, of Oceanside.

At the end of the hearing, Meyer will decide whether there’s enough evidence to hold D’Milian and McCall for trial on kidnapping, murder, attempted murder and attempted kidnapping charges.

Oh it hurts to read that statement. My heart breaks for Eliza's mother. That little baby girl was so beautiful.....and to think she was kidnapped, ripped from her mother's arms and murdered just because a piece of trash told a lie. SMH.
