My take is what was stated at the press conference. Less me noting the DA reminds me of Matt Frewer. And he pretty much stated he has not much use for social media.

They also did state media reports (not social media) of Jake confessing were not true. I did not hear him name names in either case, but those reporting that surely know who they are.

I will wait for Jake to confess to LE.

Bad me failed to include one very important "bullet point":

DA wonderfully outraged at the judge who thought it was OK to just hand Jake a suspended prison sentence and expect him to not mess up.

Cannot watch it a 4th time as I keep expecting Max Headroom to pop out.

The defense will have ask for a change of venue IMO. Sounds like locals are peeved to say the least. I hope they do try it elsewhere so the defendants can’t come back and say they didn’t get a fair trial bc the local jury pool was biased and get their conviction overturned on some technicality

They were placed almost as far apart as possible — Rebecca Haro sitting in the jury box in a blue jail jumpsuit, and Jake Haro sitting in a red jail jumpsuit, indicating he’s in a protected population, near the incarcerated defendants’ entrance.

I have to think the other kiddos got forensic interviews by child specialists once they were removed from the home. unsure if the littler one is able to talk yet but the 16 y/o certainly is.
edit to add: especially to see if they were also abused, which seems to be the case since there was a report made after their removal. JMO, speculation

I cannot hear the questions but here are the answers:

we have pretty strong leads on where the remains are located, that investigation is ongoing.

sheriff: we do have some level of cooperation from the parents

The filing in this case reflects our a belief that baby E was abused and at some time succumbed to those injuries received from abuse.

Both parents have been charged with murder.

in 2018 Jake along w his ex wife were prosecuted for abuse neglect and cruelty. That child was also an infant. DAs office wanted prison. He should have gone to prison. Jake plead directly with the court to everything charged with. In this case a judge gave Haro a suspended sentence. DAs office was not in agreement or involved in that sentence. Prosecutors objected. the judge decided otherwise and gave him a break and probation.

DA states it was an outrageous error in judgement by the Judge. Mr Haro should have been in prison when this crime happened. Emmanuel would be alive today. Had that judge done his job properly.

He then discusses Jakes disabled daughter and what she suffered at his hands.

Sheriff: there was a call for service to eth residence generated by Jake that we investigated concerning the child abuse case. That is all I can give you on that.

Sheriff again reiterates if it didn't come from the two departments working on this case stop believing it.

So I'm kinda lost. Did the sheriff go out to the house and check the kids? Was Emmanuel there and okay? Did I miss that?

The most reasonable explanation of her not knowing the word at her age would be either, severe developmental disability, or 100% faking it.

I'm leaning in favor of her faking it. Same way she faked the kidnapping of the sweet little baby she murdered along with her monster husband.

Based on her maiden name, I am guessing her father is/was English first language. Mom has heavy Mexican(?) accent. Without knowing anything about her childhood?? Who knows. But I do not detect any accent in her myself. My opinions only!

Did you see his photo with the crossed eyes? Do you know the story of his daughter from another relationship is permanently bedridden because of his abuse that he escaped punishment for? His daughter was 10weeks old when he abused and shook her. The police know more than they are saying.

Sadly he did much more thank shake his then 10-week old daughter.

And IMO, from the handful of photos we have seen of Emmanuel, seems clear he was literally abused to death.
