Reporting myself, just in case.In exclusive jailhouse interview, father of baby Emmanuel says he would tell his missing son: ‘I love you, buddy’
He’s not attacking him personally but professionally. The call the judge made that day was professional not personal.@ 14:35 Haspin said if the judge had done his job and put JH in prison (June 2023) that Emmanuel would be alive today.
In actuality Emmanuel would never have been born on December 21, 2024 had he gone to prison.
Oh, and Haspin said he's not "attacking the judge personally".
Of course he is and rightfully so.

I do understand the vast difference having been apart of a recovery effort to search a landfill for two adults males who escape a correction facility in a trash truck. And the policies was that the trash truck had to compact several times before leaving institutional property. It was horrific!
But I wasn't aware that LE has evidence or are searching a landfill. But I could have missed that.JMO
I am not worried about the jury pool. By the time this gets to trial, the story will have faded. It takes a long time for cases to make it to trial. It's not going to be an ongoing saga like the Lori and Chad Daybell case, ykwim?I feel badly for jurors who will have to sit through this case. I am sure it will be traumatic. They can talk all they want about tainted jury pool...and definitely try them together.
DA Michael Hespin said at the presser that JH's work release sentence was like doing "community service".I'm still trying to wrap my head around JH being given basically a slap on the wrist for what he did to his daughter. Found this. If I'm understanding it correctly he shouldn't have qualified for work release. This is from a law firm out of Los Angeles. It clearly states the work release and work furloughs are designed for non violent offenders. WTH beating your 10 week old is not considered violent?

I would think that a "professional" sentence would be following some kind of legal precedent /prosecutor's request for the life long brutal injuries JH did to his 10 week old daughter that denied her any quality of life. He’s not attacking him personally but professionally. The call the judge made that day was professional not personal.
How and what does the D.A. Hestrin know about the continuing abuse over time leading up to the death of baby Emmanuel?
I doubt he's just believing this so he must have evidence?
I beg to differ. She looked absolutely defeated and scared in the court appearance today. I truely believe he told her they wouldn’t get caught or tried because he got away with the last child. I hope I’m not wrong but I def saw real emotion in her at the hearing today
JMO one of the statements from sheriffs office re: finding body said that physical evidence is a “nice to have” but not a “need to have” bc many cases are solved/tried on the basis of statements and words. I’m heavily paraphrasing here.
I suspect in talking to so many witnesses about the case, they have put together a pretty solid picture of poor Emmanuel’s short few months of life.
I think, when a baby is 7 months old (or younger), you as a parent have to many opportunities to hide the little boy from the sight of others: tired and in bed (don't disturb!), ill and in bed (don't disturb!), not at home but at grandma/aunt/whoelse, not at home but with father/mother driving somewhere, etc. Maybe difficult to discover abuse for someone, who only sporadically visited. MOOBBM:
Then we'd be back to the tragic old story about the relatives/friends/neighbors who suspected or knew about an abused child and did squat to protect that child while alive by reporting it?
imo
as per the usual, yep. How can the relatives etc not suspect anything, with it being that pervasive in the household?? Still, there’s a reluctance to report on family AND the abuse is normalized in many families… Not victim/bystander blaming, but I think that’s part of it.BBM:

As far as I remember these two produced two children together. And I doubt the elder one avoided being daddy's punching bag.She might be a victim, to a degree, but all my sympathy for her has drained away at this point. She’s had multiple opportunities to disconnect from him, or at least stay silent; instead, she’s chosen to be seen holding his hand and is actively voicing support for him. She also chose to have a child with him knowing what he did to his ten week old child, and tolerated him abusing Emmanuel while he was still alive.
