Reporter stated that Mother said, Husband thought she might be staying at ranch/ friends reason for not reporting until the next morning.

The individual in question RESPONDED to several comments on the huffpost article. They're posting from a joke Facebook account and state that the husband called all his friends during the night looking for Erin and called police in the AM. They offer no explanation of how they know this, don't respond to someone asking how they know this, and, IMO, should be given all the credence one would usually give a Facebook joke site. No idea why such a big deal is being made of this.

Plus, if there were a POI, knowing that individual called around looking for Erin would do nothing to change my opinion of their guilt.
 
If Erin was going to take pictures of Joshua Tree, was her camera found in her car? And her husband did not report her missing because he thought she stayed at the ranch overnight? Had Erin stayed away from home all night before she went missing? I'm wondering who was the last person to see Erin alive other then her husband.
 
Your welcome, changes my thinking regarding husband. I was thinking maybe he was on duty, didn't see her leave, etc. Not so now, I do wonder why LE has not said what she was wearing. Odd IMO.
 
Erin sounds like a shy, private, and quiet person. Not an adventurous sort at all. Her facebook page reflects this. IMO, she is the type of person who, if not in touch for a few hours, you would just "KNOW" that something was wrong and call 911 immediately.
 
Jumping out of lurkdom because of what her husband said- he thought she was 'staying over at a ranch or something?' That sounds awfully feeble to me. I'm sure if she had been planning that he would know which ranch, etc. Plus it sounds like she was very close to her mom, surely she would have mentioned this ranch where she planned to stay to her mother. Wasn't sure exactly what to think about this case before, but that statement of his really makes my hinky meter go off.

I could be wrong but perhaps they are referring to the ranch where she does volunteer work with the horses.
 
That's the way I took it also. In that case, IF she's done it before, it would make sense.

I don't believe the family has been told anything by LE; if LE has asked them to be silent, I believe it refers to things they already knew/observed/suspected. Regardless of what LE thinks they can't afford to not search JT, but since her car was a good distance away I would be surprised if she's there. But yeah, I agree that LE probably doesn't know where she is...in which case I'm sure they are looking both inside and outside of JT. It's nice to see Erin's mom has done another interview for CNN to keep the story out there.

Are ya'll watching the facebook page? Hmmm. There were posts made that are now deleted that hinted at inside information and clues - and a conversation between Jon's aunt and a website host that causes *** on this page - that is now gone. Um. You gotta be quick on that page to catch what comes and goes.

It's gone now, but it was a discussion of another man with a strong motive to kill her. And then "yes he is classy" was posted, and the something about being tired of trying to get people to read between the lines. But the other stuff surrounding those statements is now gone. And they were more specific guesses, although didn't name names. People were trying to guess what was between the lines and weren't being told they were off-base.

And I hope I didn't violate TOS. All is rumor of course, it's from a facebook page. I'm going to fire up the screen shot feature here in a minute and grab stuff as it comes and goes in the future.

Which "heading" was this under? I've been following that FB all day and must have missed it. TIA
 
The fact that there is mostly silence is so frustrating. LE is so quiet and I just hope there's much we don't know. When nothing is being said to involve the public, does it mean they have all the answers? Maybe they just need proof?
 
It's under the most recent article, the missingpersons.com flyer. Under that thread, you have to hit "recent activity" rather than "top comments". The aunt's initials are J.R. and the posts were under hers. Until someone came by with a great big ol' eraser. I think they were up for about 5 minutes.
