My memory is the text to the friend in tenn. was sent a few days before.
According to that Dailymail article, it says he fought his extradition. But he didn't. Makes me think the whole article is inaccurate.
Okay. Time for a new strategy. I've looked at this every which way and I really don't think they're going to be able to stretch this pregnancy to a second murder. I think it's time to try Plan B: Double Intent
Two murders, One body.
Murder #1 (Felony Murder) Intent #1: Destroy Evidence of Military Crime Of Adultery
Underlying felony: PC-209: Kidnapping
209. (a) Any person who seizes, confines, inveigles, entices,
decoys, abducts, conceals, kidnaps or carries away another person by
any means whatsoever with intent to hold or detain, or who holds or
detains, that person for ransom, reward or to commit extortion or to
exact from another person any money or valuable thing, or any person
who aids or abets any such act, is guilty of a felony
(namely any inculpatory evidence of the affair) Since Erin died while this felony was ongoing, it's felony murder.
Murder #2 PC-187:Homicide; Intent #2: Appease his wife that the affair will never continue, a belated attempt to salvage his marriage
Legal rationale: Since he had double the intent, and double the objectives, it naturally follows it would have taken double the thought and planning.
This increases the culpability because it would extend the period in which a reasonable person could come to his senses and realize the depravity of his thoughts in such a dark time. He ultimately failed to do so.
I just don't buy it. There are so many ways to get around this pregnancy other than murder.
First of all, there's abortifacients. Anyone who wants to avoid a pregnancy (and who isn't troubled by that pesky thing we call a conscience) knows about these. And since they are the same things that a couple striving for success in their pregnancy is taught to avoid, anyone who already has a child (namely Chris and NL) also knows about them. Papaya, Pomegranate, ground up old birth control pills, Whole Bottle of Vitamin C, Evening Primrose, Ginger Root, Parsley. Chris makes up a "special drink", for their "special day" and all his "problems go away".
Secondly, he can float the idea of her getting an abortion herself. "I'm soo happy, your having my baby.." .. Ten minutes later "I'm just so scared baby; what she might do to us if she finds out this way; She'll tell them and I go away for Adultery, I'll never see you again." .... " I can't believe I've got to say this, but I feel like this isn't the right time for us.... To have this child, right now(?), we're young, you're fertile, I'm virile, we're sexy, yeah baby, yeah. Let's have a baby,... as soon as I'm free of my old ball and chain" ... "I love you sweetee" Blah blah blah.
Or, if she doesn't go for that, he just convinces her to have the baby with Jon, get him to sign the Birth Certificate, and then "we're home free", "Jon'll pay for the baby's expenses, and we'll get family time when we're married in a year. Besides, you still care for Jon, you don't want him to wind up with nothing right??" Etc. Etc.
He could manipulate her about the pregnancy, just like he manipulated her into giving up her sexual parts for his amusement, he certainly didn't have to kill her for that reason.
I agree, the pregnancy factors in here, but something else drove him to go that extra distance... to murder her, something separate from that. And therein lies his extended culpability.

"No body, no crime".
Why not cooperate with LE if you think you have your bases covered? NL didn't think they would ever connect the .22.
Horse lady backtracked on her statements by saying they were taken out of context, misconstrued, etc. Maybe she backtracked because CL and NL were still at the ranch at that time? She has a POI in a missing persons case living at her place and she just gave incriminating statements against them that may point to a possible murder.......... CL couldn't keep his lies straight (LE interview), EC might possibly never have been found (no body, Peterson case), don't know what LE missed in the garage, but 2 out of 3 statements from Horse lady were pretty much on the money. Saying LE took them out of context was CYA. Maybe the light bulb came on and IM figured out she may have a murderer living on her property?
Are we to believe LE scrambled her statements to bolster this case? I'm sure they taped the interview.
You would think sometime after fathers day.But I was wondering if it is possible she knew she was pregnant earlier and only told CL.Then when that was not going over to well she told her husband.Yes, but I was wondering when the actual plan was made between CL and EC.
Did you read the pics at the table were taken in July after EC was murdered? Takes my breath away!!!
That was shocking, they look so happy and carefree. That protective stance, with his arm over the back of their chair. Sad, isn't it.
If accurate, this article explains how she would know the father of her unborn child. If Jon was away for at least a month at a time, there was only one man she was having sex with and it wasn't Jon.
CL has waived extradition.
Now it's just a matter of SB County authorities picking him up. Also there is now NO bail

Didn't he research disposing of a body before the murder? If so, of course he planned it and lured her into a trap by setting up the "special day" together. And IMO it was all about the baby...you can always deny an affair, but not a baby as a rule. Jmo
Plus...a pregnancy would expose the affair. NL may have been unwilling to become publicly the wife of man who cheated on her (as she now is anyway). If Erin had not said she was pregnant, NL still could have "managed" who knew about the affair, i.e her family etc. Maybe she told CL the other time that she would not put up with being humiliated. Jmo
See how both of these concepts work in tandem in his mind to make him more depraved than the average killer. Since we now know he didn't kill her over just the pregnancy, then the pregnancy must have been a small part of the evidence of adulterous relations that he needed to get rid of to prevent a conviction, jail time, and ensuing divorce in which he would lose custody of his child.
And telling others that he was going hunting ..to put out an excuse if someone questioned the use of a gun that day.. if the gun was found recently fired?
By the way, that terrain looks very barren .. what would he have been hunting?
