It looks gelled to me. ;)

Reminds me of the movie "something about mary".

Lawyer will do all he can to prevent that happening before trial...Jmo

Well if NL is innocent in this and I were her I wouldn't give a carp what his attorney said I'd file for it like yesterday.

Maybe she has or is. Or maybe she is avoiding showing herself right now because she is a POI.

I can think of 2 reasons NL would hold off on divorce.

First where would she live? She doesn't appear to be close to her family and they'd been living with CL's family. I assume she is still living there?

Second I can see her holding off if slimy attorney offers his services in the divorce if she waits...

This line of thinking stresses me out a bit. If CL murdered Erin Corwin, he is responsible for the act of murder; I hate the thought of letting him off the hook emotionally because we think he is so dumb he can't possible have killed someone without someone "making him" do it. Clearly, his wife didn't have enough control over him to keep him from straying in the first place. I think he is a cold blooded 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

(sorry, I'm not stressed at you!! Just at any line of thinking that removes any blame from him whatsoever)

:floorlaugh: No problem!

Some women have the ability to make men do REALLY bad things. Not letting CL off the hook. But sometimes it really IS "the woman behind the man".

I will because I believe they were both involved in Erin's murder. On second thought she might file for divorce just to distance herself from Chris. Although if she does then I think Chris will break down and reveal all. I do wonder... when couples are involved in crimes...what is the likelihood of them turning on each other.

Who says they're even actually married?

And I thought the potato gun was what was in the black duffel back...sigh. I guess I need to go back and re-read.

Not sure, but if I remember correctly, they found it in the green Honda. Someone help if I am wrong here! Peace.

Might give NL a reason to testify against CL and put spousal privilege aside? She has the choice even while legally married but it would give her testimony credence because she divorced that "evil murderous man". Deflect any involvement she may have before, during, or after the crime?

If he is not given a dishonorable discharge, I also wonder whether her spousal benefits would change re: married or divorced? She clearly doesn't have to worry that he will harm her from the slammer.

When I re-read the warrants that were "leaked" it is clear to me (MOO) that the "missed item" in the garage was the potato gun.

That's interesting though. Why would that be incriminating??

Not sure about this, but if they were not married when the trial begins, and she thinks it is to her benefit, she may testify for for the state. Lawyer does not want that to happen.

"Spousal privilege" covers the "time" during which the 2 are married, so even if they divorced now, she could invoke it if she was told to testify.

I'm thinking more along the lines of clothing, shoes, or things that were used to clean up. Seems those would be more likely found in a duffle bag? And maybe I'm confused!

This is a strange comparison, but may be helpful:
If a doctor kills an adult person intentionally who doesn't want to die, it is murder. If a doctor helps end the life of someone who does want to die, it is (in places where legal) considered "physician assisted suicide" or "voluntary euthanasia."

I know the abortion debate is a little different, but this helps outline conceptual differences re: choice.

I think this is a really good comparison actually. Thank you!

I'm kinda wondering if it's maybe NL who is all of the above and she was able to manipulate CL because he IS dumber than a door knob?

If so I think her intelligence is roughly that of the door the knob is attached to! JMO
