I wont be at all shocked if we see a filing for divorce real soon.
Lawyer will do all he can to prevent that happening before trial...Jmo
Well if NL is innocent in this and I were her I wouldn't give a carp what his attorney said I'd file for it like yesterday.
This line of thinking stresses me out a bit. If CL murdered Erin Corwin, he is responsible for the act of murder; I hate the thought of letting him off the hook emotionally because we think he is so dumb he can't possible have killed someone without someone "making him" do it. Clearly, his wife didn't have enough control over him to keep him from straying in the first place. I think he is a cold blooded.
(sorry, I'm not stressed at you!! Just at any line of thinking that removes any blame from him whatsoever)

And I thought the potato gun was what was in the black duffel back...sigh. I guess I need to go back and re-read.

I can think of 2 reasons NL would hold off on divorce.
First where would she live? She doesn't appear to be close to her family and they'd been living with CL's family. I assume she is still living there?
Second I can see her holding off if slimy attorney offers his services in the divorce if she waits...
MOO
I will because I believe they were both involved in Erin's murder. On second thought she might file for divorce just to distance herself from Chris. Although if she does then I think Chris will break down and reveal all. I do wonder... when couples are involved in crimes...what is the likelihood of them turning on each other.
When I re-read the warrants that were "leaked" it is clear to me (MOO) that the "missed item" in the garage was the potato gun.

Not sure about this, but if they were not married when the trial begins, and she thinks it is to her benefit, she may testify for for the state. Lawyer does not want that to happen.
That's interesting though. Why would that be incriminating??
This is a strange comparison, but may be helpful:
If a doctor kills an adult person intentionally who doesn't want to die, it is murder. If a doctor helps end the life of someone who does want to die, it is (in places where legal) considered "physician assisted suicide" or "voluntary euthanasia."
I know the abortion debate is a little different, but this helps outline conceptual differences re: choice.
I'm kinda wondering if it's maybe NL who is all of the above and she was able to manipulate CL because he IS dumber than a door knob?
Who says they're even actually married?
