No worries, just didn't want to add to the "marriage debaucle" currently usurping the thread.:happydance:
No worries. I have no doubt they're married. And I have no doubt they lived on base.

Sorry for the mixup folks, it's just hard to take anything about these "Lee" people at their word. Who knows what they're lying about.
OT and Jmo I hate this trend...most of these kids are too young to be even thinking about being in serious relationships, much less "marriage. I am an old grouch.
That was the point I was trying to make. That she'd lied on her FB. Which lends to her lack of credibility. However, I didn't realize it's a fad that apparently a lot of young people do.
I have never heard of this before, so It could just be a few isolated acts of stupidity with FB pages of kids.
No, kidding. An idiot in alaska signs her 17 year old daughter into marriage, 6 years later a 19 year old dies because of it. We need that parent test system right now.
^^

Well you can put anything on the net, I put my bd as 1-1-1900 on FB because I didn't want my real bd on it and everyone was wishing me happy bd like I'm 114 yrs old. Lol
did the lees get married before or after CL signed up with the Marines?
Waiting Period
There is a three (3) business day waiting period that begins once a mailed or faxed application is received by the issuing office. This means that you must wait at least three full business days after the application is submitted before you can pick up the license and the marriage ceremony can be performed.
License Expiration
The license is valid for three (3) months from the date of issuance. The marriage must be performed before the three-month expiration of the license or the license will no longer be valid. Refunds and extensions cannot be granted.
Oh I hear ya! (And it doesn't help any when they guy they "marry" themselves to is an.... well... insert any appropriate profanity term! lol!)
Meemaw12 ~ with MUCH love and respect, your name "Meemaw" reminds me of a pudgy, little ol' gramma that is 114 years old. :loveyou:
Ya know, I'm thinking AFTER. MOO
That license is dated 12-29-08. So the earliest they could get married would be that three days later. But they had three months to get married

CL just completed 6 years service in USMC. I'm going to make a huge assumption that maybe they got married while he was on leave between infantry school and 1st duty station? MOO IMO
Dec 2008 to upcoming Dec 2014 will be 6 years. So he went into the USMC in July 2008 to have served 6 years and gotten out this past July. Right?

There are some crazy people out there who don't believe in marriage, and don't get married on "principle". These people seem crazy enough to be like that. They might say they're married for show, and so they can stay together while he's enlisted, and get their family off their back. They love each other and think that's the only thing that matters, and "to hell with tradition" etc.
