From IM's interview
"Later, when the microphone has been turned off, Isabella broke down talking about Erin, and blamed herself for all the signs of trouble she did and didn't see."
So what where the signs of trouble that she did see???

Could someone please post the link to the latest interview with IM? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I wondered about this too. For that matter I wondered why she waited until after the microphone was off. She came off so cold hearted, I think "breaking down" when the microphones were on might have been a good thing. I know it's not about her or a PR campaign, but man, that whole thing just sounded so bad. Hearing any emotion at all towards Erin would have been a huge improvement.

I'm not exactly sure which interview everyone is responding to but here's the one that was new to me and had me fuming most of the day:
http://www.scpr.org/programs/offram...aign=Feed:+KpccLatestNews+(KPCC:+Latest+News)

It's audio only, not video, and not that obvious to get to it. You have to click the "Listen Now" on the left hand side to get to the audio. I didn't even realize it was there at first.

ETA: the part I've seen mentioned but don't remember hearing is the "innocent until PROVEN guilty" but I think I might have been so angry by that point that I missed it. Or it could be in another interview. If so I hope someone will be kind enough to post a link.

I guess that is why big company's,municipality's,famous people all hire P.R. firms when they find themselves under a microscope.

Agreed... and also probably why they tell employees/associates not to talk to media AT ALL (at least in my experience). I mean on the flip side I was so upset by the interview earlier, if someone talked to me at that moment I would've said things I later regretted. It can be a good thing to have a third party step in and do the talking sometimes since they can keep emotions (or lack thereof) at bay.

Eddy ~ If you go to the top of the news page, right click to highlight the "http part, then left click and when the options come up.... click copy and then when you post your reply, left click again and choose "paste" that way once you post it, it lets you go to the article from your post. I hope that makes sense. I am very sleepy and it is almost 11:30 pm where I am, and I am by nature an early riser, about 5:45-6 am EST.....When I get up it's only 2:45-3 am in California. Maybe someone can explain it better.

your post then looks like thislike this

I wouldn't be surprised at all if she is upset and feels bad about the Lees, not Erin. IMO she probably picked up on CL and EC getting close early on. Maybe she wishes she had stepped in and "saved" CL. *rolleyes*

I completely agree. I hope I'm wrong.

Thank you so much, nikb! And thanks for the heads up to the "Listen Now" on the left because I had went to the link/page and all I saw were the pictures! If it weren't for you, I would've still been lost, so again, thank you very much! :)

I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. If she really were closer to the Lee's, as it seems here, I suppose she really just could be in shock and numb and devastated that her "friend" is a murderer. I'm sure that comes with a certain amount of grief and fear and guilt as well.

But I so wish she hadn't thrown in that "innocent until proven guilty" comment. And I sure wish she had, just once, ever, talked to the media about how sad she was for Erin Corwin and her family--without even mentioning the Lee's.

Oh wow thank you. She seems a lot kinder towards Erin in that video than in the other audio, IMO. It's so hard to get a read on how even those close to the situation feel, IMO. Makes sense why LE says not to talk to the press at all in so many cases.

She doesn't seem very articulate so she might just have a hard time saying what she really means. It's no excuse for the many insensitive things she has said though. She is clearly on 'Team Lee'.

Just read about a man who drove 1,800 miles to confess to a 1997 murder. He was overwhelmed with grief and so felt compelled to go to the police. Contrast this with those who not kill but go on to trash the poor victims in everyway they can. They show no remorse but become increasingly arrogant as the years go by. There is a place for redemption and rehabilitation (within the confines of prison) even for murderers but the first step is genuine remorse. I'm hoping that there will be a true confession in this case but sadly I don't think it will happen.

Also the media can conduct a 30 min interview then edit it down to 5 min and make you appear almost anyway they want.

<sigh> further evidence that I need to stay off of Pinterest. I went to see what you were talking about and immediately my brain jumped to "yum that recipe looks good - oh wait what's THAT?! Oooohhh look horses!" I swear I don't normally have ADD but I do when I get on that site.

On a totally other note... I was thinking a lot about Erin earlier this week. I hope a quick personal story is okay - it's related, promise. I used to ride many years ago at a program for children with disabilities. In a lot of ways the horses and kids kind of "saved" each other as most of the horses are either 'retired' from various things - still ride-able but ready for a mellower life. They generally have older horses because they're calmer and have more "life experience" so to speak (though I'll never forget the time that we were learning some dressage moves and accidentally discovered the horse I was riding that day apparently used to perform - I nudged his shoulder and he took a bow!). It's not a rescue exactly, but I can safely say they've rescued numerous kids and horses in various ways.

Anyway I was just out there to drop off some donations for their upcoming fundraiser, but I happened to get there when no one was around. It was so weird, I felt this instant inner peace being there. I thought of Erin and wondered if that's how Erin felt at the rescue. Regardless of how anyone feels about the rescue itself, I bet she really did feel happy and peaceful there. I hope she felt that as much as possible even on her last day.
