A comment on one of the Erin Support FB pages. The person stated that LE were searching yesterday in a storm drain next to a hotel. No other info given. So take with a grain of salt, etc.
Remember poor Summer Inman her husband and mother and father in law put her in the church septic tank.

I too think that with the "affair" this will not turn out to be an abduction.

My husband would definitely remember seeing my legs, if they were exposed by wearing a dress, skirt or shorts.
Even after all these years being married.
My husband remembers the first top he saw me in, and I still have it!
Yes, everyone is different.
IMOO.

7 am maybe she will be found in pj''s

I've wondered about this as well. While it seems like most reports are leading to a terrible outcome, I am also holding on to this thought: Say there was an affair. Is there any chance that the other marine and Erin may have just disappeared together to avoid any military backlash? Obviously, deserting his duty would be an even bigger deal, but perhaps they weren't thinking clearly?
I'm sure I am wrong, but I just so want there to be a safe outcome for young Erin :(

The media report of a possible affair should be taken with a bit of salt, as all media reports should. Still, the issue is relevant to the investigation.

Adultery is not specifically mentioned in the Uniform Code of Military Justice but it is prosecuted under article 134. Article 134 prohibits conduct which is prejudicial to good order and discipline. There have been a number of high profile cases lately including General Petraeus. For a married Marine to be found to have committed adultery with the wife of another Marine while both lived in base housing would be "career ending" at the very least.

If the rumors are true, the other man does not seem to be missing...instead, he is giving contradictory stories.

Exactly!! JVM said that last night - JC could go through EC's clothing to determine what she was wearing by what was missing. I don't think 95% of men could do that, unless there is only one outfit for every day. (Not a dig on men, btw!)

Not even a dig on men, actually....if an outfit was removed from my own closet I would have a had time determining what was missing. She may have a lot of clothes, may have been wearing something new for her changing pregnant body, etc. It doesn't strike me as odd at all that he may not remember. He may have been home and know she left but not have physically seen her walk out the door, too. Maybe he saw her drive off or was still in bed when she got dressed and left. Too many scenarios to explain, to me, the lack of description of what she was wearing. I wouldn't want a description given to the media of what she was wearing unless he was 100% certain that he was correct. I imagine a lot of men couldn't be 100% certain. It doesn't come across as remarkable to me if he didn't know. MOO

I saw Erin's mom talking about her son-in-law and she was saying how good he was to Erin and how much he loved her and how she was his everything....I think this was on JVM or NG. So, if his story checks out and Erin was having another man's baby, my heart really goes out to this young guy. I mean, he and Erin were very young and probably going through lots of things that would be tough for older, experienced people to handle. So I feel very bad for both of them......I think she is deceased. Such a terrible story here for both families.

Sure I don't think they would let Marines search because there is a possibility a Marine is responsible.
Same with her husband not searching. If he found her we all would say he's guilty he knew where she was
So if someone on that base killed her u don't wan t him in a search party
This makes no sense to me. So what if a Marine is responsible? They're not going to close ranks just because they found her, the marine will get Court Martialed.

I'm guessing LE knows. If he was on base, wouldn't they know with certainty whether he left base? Aren't there cameras everywhere?
Unfortunately, in this case, I suspect that LE has a suspicion as to what happened, and are just steadily gathering evidence while looking for a recovery :(
That would also explain the lack of flyers or a widespread, publicly open search effort.

This whole thing about Saturday is what sticks in my mind.
Well, if he left somewhere, did he get picked up by somebody? Did he walk? Did he have a bicycle, motorcycle, another vehicle?
He was at home when Erin left, but we don't know what he did during the morning, day, and evening.
And the pets....so many questions!
IMOO.

Exactly. We have had spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings and such join in the discussions on many occasions. In fact, I'm sure a few of the more seasoned members can point to instances where actual murderers were posting on threads.
That's not a reason to stop us from posting or even speculating on a case, nor is libel. Tricia and her lawyers will let us know what we can and can't post on WS.
In fact, I am a family member on a case here, I'm glad when posters post on his case, any attention is good attention for him.

Definitely not men only. I have zero idea what my husband was wearing this morning.

Thanks. I am having a hard time keeping track of the rumors. Some WS posters were pointing to some guy posting on FB, but that guy wasn't even married. I feel really bad for someone who is in no way involved whose name gets thrown around like this, particularly if he is close to the victim/family :(

If the rumors are true, the other man does not seem to be missing...instead, he is giving contradictory stories.

I think they would be less worried that people would think he was guilty, and more worried that someone might tamper with evidence to protect someone else/themselves?

Sure I don't think they would let Marines search because there is a possibility a Marine is responsible.

Erin's family is extremely defensive of John. I wonder whether they did know of the affair and feel guilt, or just feel guilt because he's a nice guy. They are truly bending over backwards to let the public know what a good guy he is.

Why PJ's? If she's going to scope out the desert at 7a.m., I'd be dressed for it, and by that I don't mean wearing a dress.
I think the point was, if she wasn't dressed for the desert, maybe she didn't leave her house in the morning. Or, maybe something happened to her the night before?

Erin's mom said most likely Erin wouldn't be getting out of the car, so why not wear a dress?
