wow that is such an interesting link...lots of info there as well. Some are saying her Aunt gave the info on fb then deleted it. So lets say that another man did get her pregnant, is that man married because if he is; it could be him; his wife...someone could have killed her or this is a ruse to take away from interest in the husb. IF San Berdo and SanDiego can't even figure out the McStay death I have huge misgivings they can solve this case. I hope she is alive, I hope she went with the person who she wanted to be with but if that was so don't you all think she would have contacted her family so they wouldn't worry? I dont think this will end well at all. No one is off my list as of yet.

But, I don't think the smaller cars, such as the one he was deceived to be driving, have adjustable seat heights. I only know that our main car, a Toyota Venza, does have a seat height adjustment. But, our Corolla does not, even though it is newer.

That would depend on the model of the car. Each car has base options power options etc... It doesn't depend on the actual size of the car.

I agree and I read and reread and was trying to figure out if FARR was the name of a town or area. I thought it was even a name. In my town we have people named FARR. I couldn't decide if it was a typo or clue. When the same typo showed up somewhere else, I was scratching my head.

I wouldn't spend too much time scratching your head over it. :) I think the poster is just referring to the name of a mutual friend of EC and JC that could possibly know something about the case. The poster's motives for doing that, I don't know. JMO

Agreed @klily444, I don't believe there was ever any concrete reason to think he was involved or knew anything. I do think that it would be an interesting time on that base and in the "circle" of Marines, however! I would think this would all be pretty obvious and they likely know who owns which cars.

I think it's been known all along that the Beasleys did talk to LE on the scene. What is curious - is that LE doesn't seem to remember that or didn't integrate that clue into their investigation. It's been reported that LE has talked to the Beasleys again after the article came out. I wonder why they would do that if they already had all the information he divulged to the media? (My guess is, they didn't even have him on the radar at all). Also, LE told the Erin's family they had no idea who this guy was and hadn't heard this story. Why lie so baldfacedly to the family when they could just say we can't discuss specifics of the investigation at this point? Why act so clueless to the family? My guess is, because they were blindsided. They really didn't know about this clue, because who ever heard it at the scene dropped the ball.
Maybe certain people are attempting to downplay evidence that EC was having an affair? JMO

So....for everyone that believes the witness, do you think that the red car is owned by the same person that owns the dark jeep in the warrant? And, if so, why no warrant for the red car (especially if LE knew about this witness statement before the warrants were obtained?)

Is it possible that a red car warrant was sealed? therefore, not releasable until unsealed.

I think if they had enough information to be able to issue a search warrant on the red car, they wouldn't have put the ENORMOUS resources they have into searching Joshua Tree. They've gone full throttle forward with a search of that park - when it seems that would be wasted effort if they knew the ID of the owner of the red car.

Also, why would they lie so boldly to Erin's family that they hadn't heard that tip? And why then re-interview the Beasleys, as if in fact, they WERE unaware he had already spoken to LE?

I've been thinking about those 3 hours too. Since I don't know Erin personally I can only relate to her through a mutual love for animals and photography. I myself do not find it unusual for her to go to JTP alone at 7am. Early morning hours and right before sunset are great times to see nature and wildlife at it's best. I've gotten up before sunrise just to catch a glimpse of a little ground squirrel near our porch and camped out on the back of a pickup after sunset in hopes of seeing the big buck come out under the apple tree. So it would be easy for Erin to spend 3 hours riding through JTP taking photos or just enjoying the beauty. I've spent 5 hours by myself exploring a huge old cemetery and taking photos. Not every woman is afraid to go explore the world by themselves.

I remember reading that it took an hour to get to JT. That would have given her an hour at the park before meeting the man in the red car.

Call me crazy, but I can't imagine why the police would be searching an apartment that didn't belong to the Corwins or another vehicle that didn't belong to them if there wasn't some close connection. Maybe it was a previous affair or ongoing affair, but there had to be a connection there. I don't think anyone believes a crime was committed in the apartments, but police had to believe there would be evidence pointing to a connection and possibly a motive (since the search warrants state they believe a crime was committed). I think same goes with the vehicles.

Forgot to add: Just my take as a lurker. Everything else is so well covered that I need to take notes.

It is under the first posting on the page - the one with the picture of Erin's horse. You need to click on the button 'View Previous Comments' to expand the comments - then scroll down - you will see JN's comment. Then if you click on the Like button for this comment - it will display a list of people who Liked his comment - if you then click on MSW - it will take you to her page where something is posted. You need to be logged into FB to see her page though.

Seems to be about 15-20 minutes each way, maybe a little more depending how far one drives in

I remember reading that it took an hour to get to JT. That would have given her an hour at the park before meeting the man in the red car.

Are there rules against paraphrasing what someone posted on FB? I'm not on FB so I can't read what she posted. The Locate Erin page and all comments are available for all to see, but not so with the MSW page.

Nothing on the FB page is a verified fact, Imo, including saying that LE told the family that they did not know about this witness. I think that is BS. I think LE has been very aware of red car incident all along and is acting with that in mind but jmo.

I do not think the person she was seeing is the person that vanished her.

We don't know that there isn't a search warrant for a 'red car' - we only know about the 4 search warrants they released.

Were the pages from the 4 warrants "released" or were those pages public for anyone who went to the court to obtain copies of them? If so, wouldn't the court have record, on file, of the other warrant, even if they were completely sealed? And if not, and they did get a warrant for a red car, why completely seal that warrant but not the first 4?

Not sure - it did state that the warrants themselves were sealed because release to the public could jeopardize the case.
