Is it possible LE already know who the red car person is and are holding this info close to vest?

Could be...especially if it's a military person. What if ( a big what if) its a huge high ranking military person?

You are absolutely correct! I like many others were being banned from the Locate Erin page because we had questions and concerns. The family only wants prayers. My thoughts to that "I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented". So I created a place dedicated to take a side, which is the side of Erin. The lack of discussion IMO gave the person at fault a false sense of security and comfort....Erin doesn't deserve that and who ever did it does not deserve to live a life of normality and secrecy! Since I opened the page info is finally getting out and guess what, the search warrants were released and they are actually DOING something!

My quote to Erin: "Beyond the gates of the base you live, I know you're out there; Love surrounds you even when the sun sets".
Im confused...why would a family want to censor discussion that could lead to the person responsible for their loved one's disappearance?

I never put any faith in any Facebook group pages. Any Tom, dick, or Harry could start em.....or even the killer. Just saying.

I never meant to personally attack, I just wanted to say it's absolutely true that cheating is immoral. You can't say the truth on here? Didn't realize that. I think it's important to say so that more people can realize this and don't head down a destructive path, that's all.

I support your message and agree with you. In most all cases, cheating leads to misery in one form or another.
Moral degradation is rampant in society. We all are capable of making mistakes but I never can understand why people get upset when being urged or reminded that there's a high road.

Possibly. Unless she hadn't originally planned to actually leave with him. Something happens to change her mind and she decides to move the car before driving off with him.

Mel

The sister witness said when the car was found, it was further back in the desert from when she first saw it.
She noticed the car on her way home from work but doesn't give the day or time, just that it wasn't the same time her brother claims he saw the driver (supposedly Erin) exiting her car and getting into the red car.

If Beasley was watching that closely, you'd think he would have noticed the car had been moved by the time it was reported by the water meter employee. Time wise, that would be two full days later. Where was the car parked on Sunday? Was it towards the road or back 100 feet or so where it was found?

I think LE knew about the Beasleys all along. I think they know all the information being shared on SM. I don't think they feel they need to share it with the public, and I don't think they feel the need to share it with Erin's family. IMO.
ITA and I also dont believe it when LE says this isnt a criminal investigation and they dont have any suspects or POI. IMO LE is pretty sure what happened, who caused it and they are waiting for evidence.

What if Erin was dropped back off at her car and someone nabbed her then? Someone who had watched her earlier?
Maybe the perp moved her car back from the road.

Need some advice...

I visited the area yesterday and took several pictures and a few videos that might help some people visualize where exactly we are talking about. Which website (Flicker, etc.) is best for me to post them to so I can get them uploaded and give everyone the link? I want to make sure it's one that allows videos too because I stood on the running board of our vehicle and turned around at places like the corner of Ranch Rd & Valle Vista, which I thought would be helpful. Any suggestions on a website???

Thank you for doing this! I don't have advice on where to post the videos but most of the ones I've seen were on YouTube. It's hard to keep viewing limited there though, in my experience - assuming you want a somewhat limited audience.

Happens all the time...basically these FB pages end up just wanting prayers and they always get the people for that. Jmo

i think the problem is you're making it sound like murder (if that is what has happened) is a consequence of cheating, and somehow if you cheat, or do something immoral, that murder is just something you should expect. it isnt. ever. JMO.

Detectives have an area of investigation called Victimology. It includes risk assessment.
http://www.crimelibrary.com/criminal_mind/profiling/victimology/1.html

Our actions sometimes seal our fate.

There are bad guys out there, murderers, are we not to judge them? People have opinions about what is right or wrong. Risky choices increase the odds of bad stuff happening. Skydiving does too. Does the person in skydiving accident deserve to die? No, but the person took a greater risk that day than if they had stayed in bed.

I think I'll go "downstairs" for awhile.

Um, WHAT? Not criminal, no POI?Just a missing person case? In that case, LE, you know what might make her a located person? DETAILS. Oy. For a while I really felt like LE was holding info close to the vest. Now I feel like they just have no clue what so ever. This is ridiculous.

IMO blah blah blah

I think what LE tells reporters and what the investigators are saying amongst themselves are probably two very different things. I think it's an issue of evidence. If they are missing a vital piece or two of evidence, I could see them delaying in identifying a POI. Sometimes, I think they just like to keep the POI guessing. I've seen instances where LE plainly state that they have no POI and then later on arrest the very person I thought surely must have done it.

Are you talking about the Locate Erin facebook page? Because that's been verified to have been started by DeAnna Hevelin, who is Erin's sister in law.

BBM: I notice they don't say they will actually provide any of that information as it becomes available. Just that they will update. I personally find much of the "update" above to be what my grandmother called "hooey".

Are we allowed to post a transcript of the video? Is that something we can do hear? I have a transcript of the CBS8.com video with the news report with MB and JB and then the bonus interview with MB. If it is allowed, I will post that and then try to do the interview on JVM.

Sorry I missed where they were re interviewed by LE. Link please?

Even if they did re-interview them, I don't think it's unheard of for LE to interview witnesses more than once. I personally don't see the big deal. They asked everything they knew to ask the first time, but new information brought up new questions, so they interview them again. If they didn't follow up on new information, we would think they are idiots. Oh, wait, they are already idiots for having to re-interview the witnesses at all. I guess LE can't win.

I do think they are keeping Jon abreast of the investigation in general terms without divulging evidence. I believe Jon's mom said that the police talk to them/him on a daily basis. But I can see them not sharing this with Erin's side of the family. Jon, is the legal next of kin, and they may have told him to not discuss anything they have discuss with him including to his own family and Erin's.

<snipped for brevity>

Thank you for that logical post. :) It's also entirely possible that the person running the Locate Erin fb page assumes if they haven't heard about it, it isn't true, when that may not be correct. I know from previous family emergencies, when you start briefing people in call after call, you eventually forget what you have and have not shared. You tell some things more than once and others you may forget. Jon may have simply lost track of who has been given what information.

It also just hit me that if the red car person is a marine, and someone Jon knows well, it would certainly be intense to have them both on base together. I could see LE keeping that info under their hat until they are able to either confirm it or discount it.

So I think it's a stretch to say LE lied to the family just because the fb person said the family didn't know about it. Just like I think it's a stretch to assume we know what personality we're dealing with because of care color.

Imo, it is ridiculous to assume LE did nothing with the info on the red car meeting, if they were to,d about it on June 30. For all we know, Erin was seen later on by someone else, or on video. I am going to trust LE on this one until reason to do otherwise. I do think they are treating her disappearance as a crime-it is obvious by their actions. Search warrants are not issued for the average missing adult case. Imo they know what they are doing.
